Good budget reel,

for the price, it's a good budget reel. Action is alright, what can you say, it works.
I'm just getting into surf fishing after spending 20 years near the shore. I've always been a fresh water guy. I'm used to Diawa reels with good gearing and smooth operation. So in comparison, this reel is less than ideal. But hey, what can one expect for this combo price? I'll move up to a better reel once I realize my son and I will stick with surf fishing. But I'm thankful for this budget priced combo AND the fact it's made in Philadelphia PA not China@! |
