great machine,
This review is from: Penn Gold Label Series Slammer Live Liner Spinning Reel (240-Yard, 15-Pound) (Sports)
I've used Penn's Live Liner reels for several years and I love their performance and durability. I mostly fish at the NC coast on the beach for flounder, blue, spanish or whatever wants to chase a plug or a live minnow. I love being able to leave my rod in the pole holder with the "live liner" drag on while I do something else. It's totally adjustable to exactly whatever I want to leave it at. Best thing is that the guts hold up to my abuse, ie, they don't corrode away with time and they are fairly easy to take apart. The live liner internal spring mechanism is a little tricky to deal with, but if I can do it, probably you can.

Purchased 3 Penn Gold Slammer Live reels at the best price around. Have fished live eels in the Great South Bay, Long Island, NY this fall but the Stripe Bass were not there. The reels worked as promised and looked great matched up with Ugly Sticks poles.
