5.0 out of 5 stars love this show!
funny and informative. love it. goes against "mainstream" though so some may not like it, but as an educated and employed 24 year old i enjoy it. for liberals, otherwise you will hate it.

This review is from: Penn & Teller Bullsh*t: The Seventh Season (DVD)
Penn and Teller are all about free speech. They are libertarians that don't let anyone tell them what they can't say. Now I find out that the Vatican episode has basically been buried. It is not on the DVD set and it has been removed from the episode list on the Showtime website. This season officially now only has 9 episodes. The irony of THIS SHOW being edited is hopefully not lost on those involved in it's production. Like so many cases of sexual abuse at the hands of Catholic priests, the scandalous 10th episode has been covered up. Shame on all those involved in it's removal. I hope the victims of Catholic sexual abuse keep coming out and I hope the Vatican goes bankrupt from legal fees and settlements. I hope people stop giving them money to get child molesters out of jail. I hope the pope has to come down from his holy cloud of ignorance and evil and get a job as a Wal-Mart greeter just to pay the bills. And I hope Showtime, P&T (and whoever else is involved in this censorship) grow a pair. Of all the shows...seriously...it's ridiculous. (I'm glad I didn't pre-order this!!!)

1.0 out of 5 stars Showtime, shame on you., October 22, 2010
This review is from: Penn & Teller Bullsh*t: The Seventh Season (DVD)
Now, this is just ridiculous. I love this show and I loved this season. That's not what the bad rating is for. Simply put: Showtime censored this DVD set. They omitted what was undoubtedly the most important episode of the bunch: The Vatican. P&T are bigger than this kind of behavior, and no matter what kind of 'deal' they have going, they need to do something to openly show their protest. And I say so should you. Our freedoms are going down the drain fast, kiddies. if you care about that at all, boycott this release and all other future video releases you may have previously planned on buying from Showtime until they release this season in full. If you purchase this set, you're going to get ripped off, because you'll be missing a substantial amount of content.

The box art reads ''The Complete Seventh Season''. That is a lie, folks. Don't support it. Tell the suits exactly what they can do to themselves by not buying this product.

You want a review? I will be glad to do this WHEN and ONLY when the ENTIRE 7th season is released. The Vatican episode is MIA on this version. Shame on ST/CBS/P&T!

2.0 out of 5 stars screaming B.S @ B.S "complete season 7", August 18, 2010
By
This review is from: Penn & Teller Bullsh*t: The Seventh Season (DVD)
This is your perfect example of why people download things today. Now Penn & Teller should do a show on the B.S of B.S DVD releases.
They did an episode on "The Vatican" and it was one of their best episodes they have done... yet, it is not on this DVD, which is why everyone is calling B.S on the B.S s7 release.

It's really a shame that the best episode of the season has been removed with no explanation as to why?! So what you get is all BUT 1 episode, making this the INCOMPLETE season of B.S7.

Now I'll do what vert few have done and review the rest the episodes.

Episode 1: Orgasms
- This is pretty much an excuse to get to see some nudity and cheap interest to watch; I'm not sure why, as the show has a pretty strong following as it is. But in this episode, they call B.S on a guy who runs classes in New York to supposedly teach men how to finger women properly. I guess the class would be ok for those who simply just can't ASK their partner to guide them through what they like, and instead get to go to a class and watch a guy teach them, have a random partner if you have none, then watch a girl squirt... if anything, it's probably going to just promote the guys "orgy" like group session.

Episode 2: Astrology; An episode many have been asking for. It was a decent episode.

Episode 3: Video Games; An episode that focus' on the nutballs against Video Game violence and trying to either put a stop to them or not allow them to be sold to underage kids... like that would stop anything? the more you tell kids they shouldn't do something, the more interest you will spark in them to find a way to play the game. The entire argument could well be based on how many kids who played Super Mario in the 80's felt a sudden need to go outside and punch bricks and jump on turtles.

Episode 4: The Apocalypse; This is kind of the same thing as a previous episode called "the end of the world", but since the released of the movie 2012, they felt they needed to do one that focus' on what they forgot to include before.

Episode 5: Lie Detectors; Here they show how to beat lie detectors and that they do not work. Duh. The machines detect changes in blood pressure etc.. but if you fart while answering a question, you can beat the defective machines.

Episode 6: Organic Foods; Another episode where they use the same piece of fruit cut in half, and ask people to tell them which is organic and which isn't... reminded me of the "Bottled Water" episode, but hopefully it will wake up the hippy nut's to stop spending more on organic food when food is food.

Episode 7: Taxes; In a lot of ways, everyone agrees with this one, but I felt it was like the "cheerleader" episode, where it just did not need to be stretched out into a half hour show to explain that taxes are B.S.

Episode 8: Lawns; this was a pretty dull episode. It does not focus on the B.S of lawns as much as just the B.S law of a community in Florida that make you sign an agreement to maintain your lawn, or face prison for it. Sure, it's complete B.S, but it's really only something for THAT particular area of Florida, not something that is a law all over the country.

Episode 9: Stress; Well, Stress isn't "B.S" but people who advertise "Stress Relief" is... I found it to be an episode that didn't quite scream out "B.S" but more "Don't be so gullible"

Then of coarse the last episode WOULD have been about the Vatican, and how they cover up Priests who molest people, ram their way of life down peoples necks, and refuse to allow condoms because they are too scared if they change that rule, people would want OTHER B.S rules they appose to be changed too. it was a great episode, but for some reason, it is has been removed from this DVD.

Overall, what you get now, is decent, but would have been worth it had they included the best episode of the season. Instead, we have reviewers saying the same thing, that the Vatican episode would be there only reason to buy this season, but the B.S of B.S not including it is just totally effing B.S

2.0 out of 5 stars "Complete" my fat backside..., June 4, 2010
This review is from: Penn & Teller Bullsh*t: The Seventh Season (DVD)
There were a lot of wonderful topics covered in Season 7 of this fine show that Amazon is content to sell but will not name fully. The astrology and organic foods episodes were spectacular! There was all the humor, the criticism and intelligence I've come to expect from this fine program.

You know what else was spectacular? The Vatican episode. Rather like the "200" and "201" episodes of "South Park" the powers that be, in this case the same parent company, if I recall correctly, are content to remove this episode from history. It is not on this DVD, and it is no longer listed on the site for the show.

Due to this I shall sadly not be buying this season on DVD. That's what torrents are for. I'll be happy to buy other seasons that aren't butchered and when Showtime puts this episode back into circulation on a DVD set, I'll buy it. But until then? No. Sorry, guys. It's a great show, but I will not accept buying an incomplete complete season.

We ordered this DVD before it was actually released...It said the COMPLETE 7th season. IT IS NOT COMPLETE---IT IS MISSING THE VATICAN EPISODE... Whose to blame? The distributer? Penn and Teller? The Vatican? I don't know, but it is not complete and this is censorship. When we complained, Amazon sent us another copy, but it also was missing the episode. Amazon quickly refunded our purchase as soon as we returned the DVD's. They made the process hassle free and were very professional and polite. My advice---don't buy until it is complete. I have absolutely no complaint with Amazon, but this DVD is a big disappointment

1.0 out of 5 stars "Right to Free Speech"?, May 7, 2010

The DVD cover that contains the words "Right to Free Spech" while at the same time it lacks the Vatican episode. I can only hope Penn & Teller were dissatisfied with the quality of the episode as opposed to Showtime censoring the release. Very disappointed.

3.0 out of 5 stars Double-check that the version you order contains The Vatican episode, May 2, 2010
This review is from: Penn & Teller Bullsh*t: The Seventh Season (DVD)
The Frys Electronics near Seattle actually had this on the shelves for sale on May 1st. The DVD available for early-sale did not include "The Vatican" episode. Full disclosure was evident, as the back cover clearly stated that the Vatican Episode was not included. At the same time, the top cover also stated that the DVD was "The Complete Seventh Season" which, on it's face, did not appear completely accurate. I ended up putting the DVD back on the shelf, and will wait for P&T to release the REAL Complete Seventh Season DVD that contains all 10 episodes. Again, this review is based on an early-sale copy from a merchant who made the DVD available for general sale a few days before its official release.

1.0 out of 5 stars Whiskey Tango Foxtrot - This is B.S.!!!, May 12, 2010
This review is from: Penn & Teller Bullsh*t: The Seventh Season (DVD)
Say it ain't so - the brash, invincible, self-proclaimed vanguards of free speech so emphatically emasculated by the Vatican?! Now that's B.S.!!! I truly expected more from Penn & Teller and the creative team at B.S. - if you're gonna bow to censorship, then I suggest you scrap your entire show or at the very least, refuse to release the dvd set in its current INCOMPLETE form. There's a word you may be familiar with: "integrity" - I believe it is the platform upon which your entire emmy-nominated series was founded. Or was it all just B.S.?!

What more needs to be said? The episode on the Vatican is missing. Don't buy this and support such censorship. I expected more from a show that promotes freedom of speech.
