Book Description

October 12, 2001
Of Earth but not from Earth, Penna cherishes her interstellar heritage. Through her disobedience, Penna allows herself to be swept by the Cosmic Storm from Nenmar to Earth, where she lives out her dream of being with her human relatives she has never seen. Penna's nocturnal Nenmaran eyes make her life with humans both awkward and rewarding. She loses her navet but not her innocence. In Penna, the Alien Earthling, you are sure to love the story of this brave and resourceful young alien as she manages life in the world of her human kindred.

Editorial Reviews

About the Author

Mark Caldwell Walker's real life includes active military time and other public service positions in various but complimentary fields. He has gathered from these experiences much fodder for the writing of fiction. The stories are coming out now with Penna, the Alien Earthling, the sequel to his first novel, Earth Alien. 'The stories have always circulated in my head,' Walker reveals. 'I never have been interested in fantasy for its own sake. Instead I see fiction writing as a means of conveying thoughts about reality in ways the non-fiction genre cannot hope to compete. One must convey the incredible but real through the tiny lens of our limited understanding.'
