From the Back Cover

Janet Carruth Janet loves all types of handwork. Since her mother was a home economics teacher, she learned her way around cloth, thread, and sewing machines at an early age. Janet teaches quilting and embroidery classes at The Quilted Apple in Phoenix, Arizona. Her designs are embued with a great sense of color. She is an expert on working with wools, repairing old woolwork and is a dedicated rug hooker. Janet has authored several books, including one with Design Originals on rug hooking. Julie Hendricksen Julie has collected antique quilts for over 20 years and has shared her collection with guilds from around the Midwest. More recently, she began collecting antique penny rugs, several of which are shared in this book. Julie is the owner of J.J. Stitches, a quilt shop in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, which specializes in antique reproduction fabrics. Julie thanks J.J. Stitches' employees Teresa Miller and Kaye Gerber for their help with designing and stitching.

#5213 Penny Rugs Quilts & More with Wool & Felt was an OK book. There are only several projects that I will do. Instructions were/are more than adequate.

This book had a lot of designs for wool in general but very little for actual penny rugs. I really wasn't looking for a how to manual, I just wanted some design ideas and they were not there.

This is a great book...lots of beautiful patterns! One of the authors has a store in Wisconsin and a web site [....]. They have lots of repro fabrics and kits which are really quite nice.

Hire better people to choose work. You rave. About junky work because you are not educated about the good work. Don't be lazy, look around for better artists!
