I really hate having to say something negative about a book , but the kindle version of this book is really bad. The ideas and what the guy is saying is really worthwhile and informative, but the actual examples/ photographs of the sheet music / tabs of all the various modes the guy is talking about are so blurry you cant see half of the numbers. The problem Im finding with alot of kindle stuff is that the pictures wont blow up in size, so you really cant do anything about it. The tabs are blurry small and un readable.I find this really annoying as this is a critical element of the book and his advice relies heavily on the examples as a reference. Sorry but if you have kindle on your laptop perhaps you should think twice before buying this. quality control issues I'm afraid...

I'm a school music teacher and I teach guitar. This book is an excellent resource that I would highly recommend to tutors and students alike. It takes a different approach to other pedagogical books and resources that I have read and it enabled me to approach Pentatonic Scale methods in a far more effective way. Guitar teachers could make really good use of this book when teaching the major and minor pentatonic scale to their students. It's very easy to understand and heightens fretboard proficiency for students in no time at all, it makes improvisation easier than ever and as well as being well written it comes at a very affordable price too. All round a great aid to understanding the basics through to playing more complex chords.
