Pentax's 10 x 25 DCF MCII combines fully multi-coated optical elements with Bak4-glass roof prisms treated with phase coating and a new super-reflection coating to produce a high-resolution, high-contrast image over the entire image field. Each model features a stylish and functional design, rubber-housed lens barrels, and a unique foldaway construction for greater portability. The JIS Class 4 weather-resistant capability makes these models ideal for use around water and in moisture ridden conditions.

Other noteworthy features include a long eye relief (20 millimeters for the 10 x 25), an extra-short minimum focusing distance of approximately 9.9 feet, accessible center-focus mechanism, helicoid-type extendible eyepiece rings, and detachable carrying strap.
