Convenient Bluetooth Technology
For optimum convenience, the Bluetooth module is built into the PocketJet 3 Plus, so no external data cables are needed. Bluetooth is a standard for providing short-range, dependable wireless connections between computers, handhelds, and other devices. This technology provides a simple, reliable cable-free printing connection of up to 10 meters (approximately 30 feet) to a variety of laptop and handheld Bluetooth-enabled devices. Unlike IrDA (infrared light), which requires line-of-site to the device and has a range of just a few meters, Bluetooth technology uses radio waves to allow point-to-point transmission.

At barely over 10 inches long and weighing just over one pound, the PocketJet 3 Plus fits easily into your briefcase or computer bag. It can also be quickly mounted in any vehicle or small work area. As economical as it is convenient, the PocketJet3 Plus utilizes advanced direct thermal printing technology, which eliminates the need for messy and expensive ink, toner, or ribbons. To save you even more money, the PocketJet 3 offers fast full-page portable printing of up to three pages per minute, resulting in a low per-page cost.

Resolution, Density, and Speed
The PocketJet 3 Plus has a resolution of 300 x 300 dpi, or dots per inch. The print density is adjustable via the control panel, and the print output is up to three pages a minute at normal (5 percent density) page coverage. Fonts are downloadable using the Epson ESC/P emulation, and the long-lasting, re-chargable NiMH battery takes approximately 130 minutes to fully charge.

I purchased this printer because I travel a lot and really liked the idea of not having to lug around not only a larger printer but a power adapter as well. It worked okay, but I really can't say much more for it than that. The battery life was shorter than I expected (only got me through about 25 pages rather than 100) and the print quality was about what you would expect from a thermal printer -- just adequate.

That said, I did not return it, as it is a great size and weight. As long as you don't set your expectations too high and you'll be satisfied.

I travel overseas and somethins need to leave a signed or marked up hard copy with the people I am visiting. After looking at all the small ink printed I could not find one that would fit in a computer bag and always work after being in storage for weeks. This tiny thermal printer soves all the problems. It easily fits in your computer bag. It can be stored for weeks or months and will not have the ink dry out. It makes a acceptable B&W print of documents, photos or drawings.
I have had it for almost three years and still love it.

It should be charged after each day of use and printing photos will use the battery up in about 5 sheets.

It printer is very light an easy to use, decent quality. The only cons is the lack of easy support to use it with vist using bluetooth. It's expensive too. If you travel a lot it worth.
