this is my second set of Pentax binoculars.....in my opinion this model UCF 8x24 is superb in all respects.

This purchase was a replacement for a pair lost in a burglary, just about the time that this item was superceded in the Pentax product line with an 8x25 model. I liked them enough to search long and hard for an identical replacement. They give a bright, sharp image with none of the barreling so common in binoculars of comparable, compact size. Very good for birding and wildlife observation, even in reduced light. They're rugged and weatherproof in snow and rain. Easily adjusted for use with or without corrective lenses, and--very important to me--independently adjustable for right and left eyes.
