Easy on the Eyes,

I accidently discovered 2B leads several years ago and fell in love with it at once because my eyes are not the best and the difference between HB and 2B leads is similar to the difference between a regular font and a bloded font. 2B is a lot easier to see and read!

I use this lead for both sketching and writing and is probably the best lead I have ever used.
For writing, with normal pressure, you can achieve crisp, clear, and dark letters. And for sketching, it feels very smooth and easily gives off all sorts of shades depending on the pressure used.

I use this lead primarily in my pentel graph gear drafting pencill which I use for taking notes and dong math. It's perfect, I cannot think of a single flaw. It writes smoothly, it doesn't smudge, it doesn't break, and it erases easily. Is everything I could have ever wanted from pencil lead

If you like to draw with mechanicals, the 2B softness leads are better than HB if you smudge and use the eraser to draw. HB doesn't cut it with thin leads for art, or at least it's more difficult to get the same result. Would be nice to have even softer leads in 0.5 mm but I don't think they make them because they don't work that soft in that size. These 2B leads in particular are just fine and the price seems fair if you add to free shipping.

One of the three boxes is empty!!! I showed it to my classmates and made them happy. Empty box and a lot of fun, fair trade.

Is 2B lead really the same as #2?,

One star off for confusing packaging. On the European H/B scale (2H, H, HB, B, 2B, etc.) the lead is claimed to be 2B (two shades softer/blacker than HB), but the packaging also says, "Same as #2 pencil" (US #2 is equivalent to HB, the middle of the H/B scale). So which is it? Is it "same as #2 pencil", HB, or is it two shades darker, 2B?
