White Paint in a Pen - Great for Marking Black Plastic, Clear Polycarbonate and Other Impermeable Surfaces,
By
This review is from: Pentel Permanent Marker, White, Fine Point, 1-Pack (100W-S) (Office Product)
The term "permanent" is quite apropos for this product as it is basically white paint that adheres to virtually any surface, including those that can't be clearly marked with conventional markers. This writing instrument is particularly useful for marking consumer electronics, including black plastic AC-DC power supplies (cordless phones, cable modems, routers, etc). This is especially helpful if you have a large number of them plugged into a power strip where they need to be clearly distinguished from one another. If you like to stay organized, The Pentel 100W S is a great tool.
This marker is remarkably versatile, allowing the user to write on smooth surfaces including clear polycarbonate. This makes it great for placing identifying marks in discrete locations on valuables so the items can be claimed if they are stolen and recovered. The paint comes out as a viscous liquid that takes a few minutes to dry so it does require some caution to avoid smudges. However, the paint is sufficiently thick so it is possible to write on vertical surfaces. Surprisingly, I have had one of these pens for years (that is the a single pen) and it has not dried out. The one problem I have experienced is that the tip does deform over time, which makes drawing fine lines rather difficult. Hence, I would not recommend the marker for any creative drawing.

GREAT -- but be sure to SHAKE WELL,

I use this to mark things like sunglasses, cell phones, etc., with "If found please phone nnn-555-1212."
If you don't follow directions and SHAKE WELL, the paint will be runny and useless. So be sure to follow the directions. Mine dried out after 10 years, so I am buying another.

i cannot recommend this permanent marker.. it does not work well. ink barely comes out and its thin and watery. not a nice white. useless as a marker/pen . the company i ordered from should send me a free replacement for my money and effort. its not a felt tip either.
