Penthouse videos are the perfect soft videos that really border on the hard stuff... anyone familiar with Penthouse knows what I mean. The Pet Of The Year DVD's always feature what Playboy won't show you, plenty of pink. This DVD doesn't disappoint, the models waste no time spreading their legs. This DVD pushes the limits a little bit, as Penthouse is known to do. The models hands actually touch and rub their pink lips quite a bit in this DVD, and there are few instances of finger insertion that set this one apart. That's the secret to making these Penthouse productions so enticing... the models tease you, you can't wait until they do something explicit and then they deliver... all without feeling like you're watching some boring, repetitive adult movie. Models like Suzette Spencer and Sunny Leone are nice to see because you never see them in adult movies, so when you catch them sneaking a finger in during their scenes, it's really arousing. Penthouse has nearly perfected the "hard" softcore genre... get rid of the porno stars and stick to the magazine models, with lot's of spreading and the odd insertion and we've got the perfect erotic DVD.

I had purchased a playboy dvd a while back thinking because it has Hot beutiful women it will be a good dvd BUT NO!! I thought it was just as bad as a cheasy cinamax movie so naturaly I was very sceptical of this Penthouse 2003 play off dvd.
Let me tell you, It gets hot as hell from the very first 10 seconds of the first scene with Suzzanna Spencer. The whole dvd maintains a sexy feel to it the whole way though. I highly recommend it!!!
This is not a porn dvd but there is Plenty of pink and fun with fingers with a little bit of insertion. I think even though you've been jadded by the hardcore stuff you will still find this dvd hot.
It would get a perfect 5 out of 5 but all it has is a chapter selection and a gallery. Where is the bonus content? there arent any trailers or any thing!!

Penthouse's video offerings have yet to catch up to their magazine when it comes to explicitness, but that's not what I buy these movies for. In these features, it seems that the models are getting away with something on camera, and that's what's fun. Hard teasing with the occasional pay-off from gorgeous girls is a lot more erotic than the majority of the harder stuff out there.
Production-wise, the DVD's okay. It has the standard Penthouse menus found in every other title of recent release. The picture quality itself seems a little lacking. There's lots of soft lighting, and a general 'high-end home movie camera' feeling to it all. It just isn't as good-looking as most of Penthouse's other features.
There are nine features split amongst six different girls. After the introduction, we meet Suzette Spencer in a pink bikini, sitting on the edge of a bathtub. She plays with the foam and faucet a bit, but there's nothing really special about this scene. Next is Sunny Leone in a bedroom. The scene starts with a great shot of her in a sheer white nightgown backlit by a window 'it looks very sexy. There's some covert finger disappearing acts going on during this scene once or twice, but the angle of the camera and Sunny's hand prevent you from really seeing anything. Ava Vincent turns up in a harem get-up to rub her body a bit. It's a nice scene, but there's nothing that makes it stand out. Sunny comes back again, this time in a red dress. While the whole scene is very nice, it's a bit of a rehash of Sunny's first scene. Next up is the DVD's first of three girl-girl sequences; this one features Linn Thomas and Aria Giovanni. There's the standard tongue to tongue and tongue to nipple play we've all come to expect from Penthouse, rounded out by some body rubbing. The 'sex' is in the vein of late night cable: anything worth seeing is blocked by a well-placed leg or a mop of hair. Aria looks really good in this scene, but Linn comes off a little sleazy. Maybe it's the hairdo she sports. The scene just comes off as anti-climactic. After that, we get a special treat from adult superstar Devon. There's some heavy rubbing going on for a bit 'almost bordering on hardcore'until we finally get a real pay-off, up close and very clear. Despite her weird Elvis sneer and plastic breasts, Devon kicks some life back into the feature. The next chapter is really three smaller features crammed into one. First up, Suzette's back with some more heavy body rubbing. Next we have Sunny on a couch with her vinyl gloves and boots, doing similar stuff from her other scenes. Linn joins her in a rehash of Linn's previous scene with Aria. Then we're back to Suzette on a couch. This sequence is probably the best on the disk. Suzette does some nice stuff in this scene, including some rather explicit close-ups. However, this scene has some really annoying editing. The music is mainly soft, low-key background stuff, but every now and then someone decided to throw out some hard guitar riffs. The scene edits in black spots to these riffs, breaking up the action in an MTV-on-Prozac kind of edit. It just ruins the scene. After this, Linn gets her own solo scene in a pair of fishnets. There's a little play with her underwear and some body rubbing, but there's nothing exciting going on after the first 30 seconds or so. The whole feature finishes off with Suzette and Linn on a pool table with the standard girl-girl late night cable sex that we saw in the other two girl-girl scenes. Admittedly, the close-ups are more explicit, but these scenes don't push the softcore edge like the ones in Pets in Paradise 2 or Dear Diary.
In the end, this disk is a mixed bag.
Pros: I'm not a Devon fan, but her single scene breathed some life back into the feature when it was prematurely winding down. Sunny Leone is one of the hottest women I've seen in a long time. She just radiates this 'Naughty Jennifer Connelly' look, especially in the red dress sequence. I'm glad she was picked as the Pet of the Year. However, this disk really belongs to Suzette Spencer. Sunny does the same stuff in every scene, but Suzette makes us stick around until the end. In her four appearances, she starts with a standard tease, kicks it up with some heavy play beneath the underwear, gives us the pay-off, then caps it all off with a girl-girl scene. Go Ms. Spencer, go!
Cons: According to several polls, Aria Giovanni was the most popular pick for Pet of the Year among the Internet community, so why is she used in one mediocre scene? She should have got at least one solo scene. As much as I love Sunny Leone, her scenes (while still hot) were a bit of a let down after her steaming debut in Pets in Paradise. My biggest gripe is Linn Thomas. She's got a nice body, but her face just looks too 'porn star' to me. I just didn't think she was very pretty or sexy enough to be in league with the other girls on the DVD. She only really looked decent in her solo sequence. Linn's in every girl-girl scene, as well as one of her own; I feel this is a waste. Her solo scene should have gone to Aria, and the much prettier Ava Vincent should have gotten to replace her in one of the lesbian scenes. Ava and Sunny would have been awesome.
Buy this DVD only if you're a fan of Suzette Spencer or Sunny Leone. Don't buy it for Aria Giovanni 'she's barely on the thing. Pets in Paradise 1 & 2 also feature Sunny and Devon in more explicit action.

This one is a let down. Linn Thomas looks completely worn out. Devon is the only thing worth taking a look at in this video; and she doesn't look that great in it. Save your money and turn on QVC. You'll get off faster!

I thought this was just another Penthouse almost-hardcore feature until I saw Devon's solo scene. It starts out like any other. She spreads her legs and touches herself plenty, then turns to show us her behind. The camera zooms in show a close-up of her genitals, then she does something that left me shocked. She slid her finger right into her vagina! I didn't know Penthouse was allowed to show stuff like this! It wasn't a quick implied-penetration shot either. You get a very clear view of her labia surrounding her finger, and she then stimulates herself from the inside for several seconds before the scene cuts. I don't know how this got past their censors, but I was really surprised.

First off this DVD it much better than the other Playoff series(don't get me stared on the horrible 2004 Playoff) DVD's I have viewed especially last years 2002 Playoffs. The models featured in this DVD that I recall are Ms. Sunny Leone(March 2001 POM)Ms.Suzette Spencer(December 2000 POM)Ms. Lynn Thomas(November 2000 POM)and several other models. The first scene starts out with Ms. Spencer(a very hot natural blonde,great energetic smile that says she is enjoying herself) in a bathtub with foam and oil on her tone body,and then posing sensual and doing variuos things like using a faucet to bath. A hot first scene! Next scene is the lovely Sunny(dark hair,exotic looking,drop dead gorgeous face,body and won PET OF THE YEAR 2003 for good reason)in white lace gown posing and doing very erotic poses. Also Sunny is in a red sun dress next showing off her flexibility and that she has perfect legs and thighs and also a nice lower area too. Lastly the other scenes I remember are a combined scene with Sunny and Lynn in leather boots and gloves rubbing and touching and then shows some hot footage of Ms. Spencer in a tight sexy outfit,but the editing is little hard to get used to at first. It goes back and forth to different scenarios. In conclusion this Penthouse DVD does deliver making it a fun erotic experience that is worth repeating and also it way better then the lousy Pet Of The Year 2003 DVD which I at first rated this title because I thought I was reviewing that flick instead. So now I'm giving a real review,sorry about the mistake to previuos readers. At least on this DVD Sunny gets 2 solo scenes and 1 girl/girl scene. One of the few things that saves this film is Linn Thomas. she makes most of the other girls look like amateurs. She looks amazing in the vid, thats obviously why she is the main attraction on the cover. Other than that, the some of the sets are interesting.

well initially i wanted to buy this one because the 2001 Pet of the Year Playoff...or was it 2000...whichever was the case, was very good and pushed the boundaries of softcore for the genre. i decided to buy this DVD because of that reason...beautiful women once again pushing the boundaries of the genre.

unfortunately, this was not the case. there is no bonus material on this DVD, other than the "Still image" gallery that you annoyingly have to wait 5 seconds before it changes...no option to skip around or view the index...that loses a star...plus no other bonus content...previews of upcoming videos would have been a nice addition, as well as more information on the models that starred in the DVD. the scenes themselves...just your standard Playboy-fare, with extra shots on the money spots...but other than that, there's nothing remarkably distinguisable between this one and any other Playboy video out there...quite a disappointment...plus they also do not even out the scenes...some pets have 2-3 they star in, others have only 1...it begs the question, how are you supposed to compete for the title if they only show 1 video of you and 3 videos of another? hmmm...

the models themselves don't even talk...despite being a Penthouse video, i would still like to see the models, whether fully clothed or not, answer some questions and just talk about themselves...again that would have been a nice addition..."would" being the operative word.

music fluctuates between decent and god-awful...i think i'll leave it at that

bottom line, save your money, this one is best suited for rental, and even then you will wonder why you squandered your rental fee
