Maxim, the Alien Planet head honcho (played by John Tripp) has promised credits ( or riches) to either Althea ( Dahlia Grey) or Kika ( Jenna Behr)if they bring to him a rare book of Sexual Secrets. Dahlia Grey ( my all time favorite next to Bettie Page) is worth the price of admission alone. Their search takes them to Earth across many different time periods & fortunately for us just as many kinky, sexy scenarios. Dahlia represents evil & Jenna good not that it really matters.In fact it's all good & the outfits Dahlia especially is decked out in are fantastic. This might be my favorite adult video of all time. It's a very well thought out feature & all the sets & different clothing shows they spent a pretty penny on this venture. Just focussing on the movie it is as close to perfect as you can get. If you pick up the DVD today (13 years after it was released by Penthouse)you will notice aside from scene selection ( which is pretty standard today)it is virtually bereft of bonus material. That's pretty much the way things went down in 1997. As well you might spot a Cameo by Dita which was a nice touch. There are so many great scenes you almost don't need the scene selector, so sit back & watch it from start to finish. The movie is 2 hours & 23 minutes & yet it never drags, in fact I wish it went longer. A slam dunk 5 stars & a DVD you will treasure for years ( as I have) provided you are adult age & mature themes are not a problem.

Althea (Dahlia Grey) and Kika (Jenna Behr) are aliens, "fetish" beauties from another world. They are sent on a mission to Earth in search of an ancient volume of sexual secrets - schematics for the sexual imagination, similar to the Kama Sutra, but much more powerful. Whoever owns the book can amass great wealth and sexual power through its secrets.

Maxim (John Tripp), the ruler of the alien planet, wants to use the information in the book for sinister military purposes. Althea and Kika (who are seemingly immortal) come to Earth and span the centuries in search of the book.

Filled with beautiful women, stunning locations, and innovative wardrobe design, Venus Descending is a visual feast.

The film is an homage to the "exploitation" films of the '50s and '60s, and Russ Meyer's films in particular, combining an unusual plot with nonstop nudity and outrageous sexual situations.
