The book is interesting and seems well-written, but I differ from the author in who should be included. He lists some people that in my opinion don't rate having changed the world any. There are very few women & people of color listed.

The first major omissions are Akhenaten & Nefertiti; the Heretic Pharaoh and his Chief Wife were the first persons known to have developed monotheism, the worship of one god. How about Hatshepsut, Sargon of Akkad, Thutmose III, Amenhotep III, just for starters? Could have included Zoroaster, Cleopatra VII, Khufu, Khafre.

A random assortment of others that I feel should be included: Joan of Arc, Henry VIII of England, Elizabeth I of England, Hernan Cortez, Netzahualcoyotl, Hiawatha, Catherine the Great of Russia. While we're at it, let's include: Queen Victoria, Tecumsuh, Crazy Horse, Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Geronimo, Frederick Douglass, Osceola, etc.

For the 20th Century: Margaret Sanger, Chuck Berry, Anne Frank, Rachel Carson, Princess Diana, Buddy Holly, Helen Keller, Sam Cooke, James Brown, Margaret Thatcher, Indira Gandhi, Jim Morrison, plus too many others to include in a short review.

This book is very good for a quick grasp of the person's biography. It is NOT for an indepth report. I enjoyed just reading it as a pleasure book.
