New Order people are not necessarily apostles or prophets, but they possess apostolic and prophetic anointings. They are willing to follow the leading of the Lord into uncharted waters. They have desire to be positioned in the place where the Lord can use them to help bring forth a great harvest. Therefore, they allow the Lord to position them as instruments of harvest for His Kingdom purposes.
Ruth was a type of New Order person. She was willing to leave the comforts of her traditional background. She heard the sound of harvest and was willing to be repositioned. "Then she arose with her daughters-in-law that she might return from the land of Moab, for she had heard in the land of Moab that the Lord had visited His people in giving them food" (Ruth 1:6).
The new positioning involves moving from a "lay person" mentality to a "minister" mentality. That means you must be able to see the harvest field in the place God has chosen for you. The harvest field may be at the grocery store. It may be at the bank, office, gas station, your child's soccer practice, or in your neighborhood. The harvest field is wherever you are. You are not there for the obvious reasons. You are there because the Lord has positioned you in that place for His purposes.

I found this book to be very informative regarding the current wave of the Apostolic/Prophetic movement. Good guidelines regarding characteristics of an Apostolic church and good historical information.
