Jason Michael has redeemed my faith in music of this generation. People Who Need It is an album I can't get enough of. I hope he continues on to the greatness that he deserves for all his hard work. Let us hope we have not heard the last of Jason Michael.

This CD is very uplifting, fun, and full of soul. Jason Michael has a beautiful voice and the backup musicians compliment his style. If you have the chance to see them live-RUN DONT WALK!!!! Their performance is better than the CD.

The freshest new music to come along in a long while., January 13, 1999

Jason has outdone even his excellent previous work with certianly the best songwriting of his career to date. The musicianship on "The People Who Need It" is outstanding, and the production quality of the recording itself is great. Jason's vocal style and songwriting have matured, and come together with some great supporting musicians to make this CD both fun to cruise down the road to, and insightful views into what makes life worth living. Track 2, the title track, is a very enjoyable song that carries with it the message that the only way to improve tomorrow is to care about each other. "The way it was", while moving and beautiful, speaks of regret, and how to live without it. And many other places on the CD hold wonderful little gems to discover. Like the melodic line: "Don't chase after the trail of light that she leaves through the sky as she flies away" that contains such beautiful imagery, and in the context of the song speaks volumes about the deepest feelings of love. Jason Michaels first solo release is a CD I would recommend to anyone. It is a blast of fun to enjoy (IT ROCKS!), great songwriting, excellent musicianship, and you might find out a little about life in the process.
