Pepper Saver by Gourmac (Random Color)

This not only works for peppers, but works for large apples as well. It stands out in the refrigerator to remind you that you've already cut an apple/pepper. Even if your refrigerator is packed full of leftovers, take a quick look where you store this container when it's empty, and if it's missing, you know it's in the refrigerator somewhere. It's also truly safe for the dishwasher's top rack. I had previously purchased a tomato saver unlike this design and it was not dishwasher safe as advertised. This design works well and cleans easily.

I bought and reviewed several of these products because I'm jazzed. This is one of those brilliant ideas that everyone needs but large manufacturers can't make enough money with it to waste time selling. Thank you to the person who did. I wish I'd had this years ago. But I do now so Woo Hoo for my Pepper Saver!! Give one to the person who has everything. I'll bet they don't have one of these!!

There is something to be said for the ability to look in the fridge and know immediately what is in the container. Even in a glass container I have to pick it up to see what it is. I got the tomato and onion ones from a different company first (jo!e) and knew I wanted the bell pepper as well. Now I have one for all the vegetables I use everyday and it makes my life just one tiny bit easier.

I love bell peppers but if I ate a whole pepper everyday I would have really bad indigestion. If you eat bell peppers then you know once they are cut they will wilt pretty fast. There is only a day or two before they are unappealing. This keeper does nothing to prolong a pepper it just keeps it clean and makes it very easy to find in the fridge which I think is just perfect.

We have several different vegetable savers by Gourmac. I loved the onion keepers because they were large and kept the cut onions from smelling up the fridge, so decided to try out the bell pepper saver. What I like about the onion and pepper savers is that I don't have to keep them in the fridge veggie bin. I can set these savers on any shelf in the fridge and they keep the cut onion or bell pepper from spoiling fast like they would in a plastic baggie rolling around in the fridge veggie bin. I immediately know that the savers contain a cut veggie and the bright containers are easy to spot in the fridge. Although the bell pepper saver is a nice size, it doesn't hold very large bell peppers so I have to keep the size of my peppers to a certain size when shopping at the market. Otherwise, a very wonderful product.

I've always been a big fan, for whatever reason, of fake/artificial food. Alas, I suspect that my pilfering grandparents and I may be the reason that department stores no longer place plastic foods inside their showroom refrigerators...shame on us. >_< Anyway, to get to the review...

All of these differently shaped, realistic plastic "Food Savers" ought to be sold from a single page, since they're all the same thing, designed for various fruits and vegetables. I own the bright, shiny orange bell pepper and the lovely grapefruit, though I'd love some of the others as well (particularly the lemon & lime.) These things are not only adorable and attractive, they're simply a great idea. Use them for their express purpose, use them for any number of other things--storage of whatever you might need that will fit inside, decoration...I plan on using mine as little dog food and water bowls when traveling. They're inexpensive, small, and durable; I picked mine up at the local ShopRite, and I would recommend picking up a couple or more as well if you're considering it at all. No matter how useful you end up finding them most of the time, their pleasingness to the eye would be worth a few bucks in my opinion, anyway! (Though being able to choose your own color is very nice and seems a fairly obvious thing to offer, having one chosen for you isn't too bad in this case; I'd be happy with any, though I'm *really* glad I got my favorite. ;) I mean, what is it about bell peppers? So smooth, so shiny, so vibrantly colored--and technically fruits! Now if only people would quit mistaking my orange pepper cutting board for an apple...

my pepper came out completely moldy and rotten even from the inside. I picked it up and my finger almost went through it. YUK!

I really hate using little plastic baggies and this helps me save those for other things. I like to use this product and save the left over bell pepper that i don't use. it is awesome!

Get thing to use. Be sure to buy a green one the other colors mixed my men up. Also they do wear out in time-their plastic. Great Product.

Returned this item as my peppers came out slimey after being inside this. Not for me.

In my opinion... not only are these cheap looking and feeling but they are a pain to use and are not effective.
