I used these for months during antibiotic treatment for Lyme disease, pretty much every night, due to severe indigestion that was keeping me awake. They were helpful for that, but ended up staining my teeth black. Mostly around the gumline and between the teeth. Be careful and be sure and brush your teeth after using these! Now, I get the caplets that I can swallow with water, but after several cleanings, the stains are still there. Wish there was a warning on the box about this so I could have figured this out sooner. At first, I thought it was the doxycycline staining my teeth, but even after I stopped the antibiotics, the stomach problems lingered for months and my teeth got worse and worse as the months went on. The caplets aren't as convenient, but if you want to keep your teeth pearly white, they are worth the swallow: Pepto-Bismol Upset Stomach Reliever/Antidiarrheal Caplets, 40-Count Bottles (Pack of 3) Can't stomach the liquid after a childhood of it being forced on me when I had an upset stomach (it was guaranteed to make me sick, for sure?).

I have been putting together a long-term food storage locker and pepto-bismol is an essential to include. This is a much better deal on quantity discounts.

I keep this in the house at all times (and in my purse) in all forms: chewables, tablet and liquid. I use it mostly for upset tummies and/or the 'trots' for the dogs. With so many dogs (7), and extras when I have 'fosters', upset tummies due to anxiety, change in diet, change in environment, etc., are common & frequent. This product, coupled with boiled chicken/rice combo helps the pups rather quickly while settling their tummies and reducing gas.

My stomach gets upset quite easy so I like to carry these with me. They work just as well as taking the liquid version. I used to buy the caplets but got theses instead so I wouldn't have to carry around a bottle of water to be able to take them. After my pack of the chewable tablets run out though, I'm going back to buying the caplets because these chewable ones get stuck on my teeth and have an after taste which lasts way too long compared to other versions of Peto-Bismol.

For short trips abroad (up to 3 weeks) you can munch on these and reduce the risk of traveler's diarrhea by about 65% (DuPont HL, Ericsson CD, Johnson PC, Bitsura JA, DuPont MW, de la Cabada FJ. Prevention of traveler's diarrhea by the tablet formulation of bismuth subsalicylate. JAMA 1987;257:1347-50). Only downside is that after a while your tongue may turn blue. Still - great way to stay healthy during vacations overseas!

I'm a college student so eating habits aren't always good, however when my stomach starts having problems I take one of these and it helps me go on with my day. I gave this a 5/5 since Amazon allowed me to buy a decent amount that'll last me for a long time and hopefully through my college years.

My mistake. This product is chewable. My intent was to buy caplets that can be swallowed as that is much easier.

I had the squirts real bad last week, and I chomped some of these pills and it plugged me right up.

They taste kinda funky but they are more convenient than the liquid stuff for sure!

no more chugging down the pink stuff for me. i love this stuff its tasty and it reminds me of candy. i also use them as breath fresheners when i run out of mints. i got to watch it though ive gone through a box of these in one day. i pop about 8 tabs in the mourning just in case and eight more during lunch and again at dinner just to keep the old pipes from howling. no more bowel screeming episodes coming from this rear end. i love it. i now only poop about once every 5 days or so and thats fine with me (saves money on the TP). five stars. case closed.
