Look... you can't describe enough the influence Morente has had and still has on the world of flamenco. The fact he can come out with an album of this sort of depth and beauty 30 years after releasing his first album shows just what a master of his craft he is. The fact is Morente for me is the greatest flamenco artist of the last 40 years (others will say 2nd after Camaron, i don't agree), nobody has broken moulds and moved flamenco forward as much and as often as Morente. What is spectacular is that Morente with this album shows just how far ahead of the pack he is, moving any music form forward is usual a preserve of youth but Morente shows why they all still kneel before him. To say I was surprised to hear such a brilliant and diverse album is an understatement. Morente is still full of ideas... I actually think it's his greatest album and one of the great flamenco albums of all time.

It's a pity other flamenco lightweights like Diego el Cigala and Jose Merce get so much press,sales and win grammy's for albums with not even a tenth of the talent, intellect, and genius that Morente has. Ole Morente!

The album concept is one of memory and time. Listening to this album sucks you in to a world where time stops yets continuously moves forward and backward at the same time. You feel like you are in state of suspended time where you re-live morente's world and memories and his future dreams. It's just tremendous.

If you are a flamenco aficionado this is definitely one you must have in your collection. If you are someone who likes emotion and intellect in your music then this is for you. This is not easy listening, this will require thought and will require you to feel.

This was the best album of 2003 in any genre. I still can't believe he created such splendour.
