i bought this at my local Thrifty Shopper for, like, 50 cents just yesterday at like, 5:45 p.m., and this is a really great book. it's the original Rev. W. This book is a UK edition and we didn't like it because it calls Sir Topham Hat the "Fat Controller" - it's more meanspirited than the other Thomas books we have and we ended up tossing it, because we didn't like its message. Some Thomas books are more fun to read than others (eg Thomas and the Shooting Star, Down at the Docks are fun, Go Train Go gets hard to read over...

i bought this at my local Thrifty Shopper for, like, 50 cents just yesterday at like, 5:45 p.m., and this is a really great book. it's the original Rev. W. Awdry stories combined with images from the TV series. this book contains the stories Percy and Harold and Percy Takes the Plunge. actually, i have it sitting right next to me right now! it's a really great book and, yes, they call Sir Topham Hatt the Fat Controller, freight cars trucks, and the conductor the guard. but still good nonetheless!
