I received this cd as a gift from a friend who knows my music tastes and shares my faith. There is a glorious range of selections, sure to appeal to a broad age range. Timeless classics such as Amazing Grace, Be Thou My Vision and When the Roll is Called up Yonder are performed in classic simpicity, or arranged in a new fashion. There are new songs for new listeners that blend so well with the older hymns and resounding orchestration. It is a wonderful assortment sure to lift up the Spirit that abides in each of us. I play it when I need a boost or when I just want to join her in praising our heavenly Father. Twila shares an amazing gift with each listener. You can't walk away from this one unaffected.

This is a soft and sweet recording for a quiet, worshipful mood. Twila offers splendid arrangements of old hymns, as well as some new choruses from her own pen--and heart. You won't be disappointed in this inspiring release; even the instrumental "Perennial," which closes the album, is a beautiful piece of music. Although, from Twila Paris, would you really expect anything less?

This is the first work of Twila Paris that I have purchased. What a way to start. Nothing I can say hasn't already been expressed.

This is among the most soothing and worshipful CDs available. Many late evenings have turned into a time of meditation, moments of holiness with the Lord. I cannot imagine anyone not finding the music of this project to be one of their favorites. I hope Twila will do another of this flavor.

This cd was great! I was sitting down in my friend's room and I heard it on her cd player and it really moved me. I was like, "Man, this is the type of singer I've been looking for all along!" I couldn't stop repeating how much I loved it! All of the songs on it were soft and moving. They were beautiful and so was her voice!

Twila Paris has become my favorite Christian singer and songwriter of all time, although there are others that I love as well. But Perennial is my all-time favorite album, mostly because, when I need something to soothe my soul, "Perennial" is what I turn to. It has a great mix of songs, both favorite hymns, and other worshipful Twila Paris songs. I can listen to "Perennial" over and over and never tire of it.

I just got this CD and really like it. The orchestra and such is incredibly well done. She has a great voice and you can understand the words well. Great for worship and meditation. Great for listening on a Sabbath afternoon!

Enjoyed very much especially "Fount of Every Blessing" and "Be Thou My Vision". Came to know of Twila after "How Beautiful" was sung this past year in two weddings including our son's. Many of her songs are in our church hymnal. I feel that she is truely gifted.

I've read all the reviews of this recording and have to agree with all of them. I think this is Twila's best work yet. This project has some of the most beautiful arrangements I've ever heard. Twila writes some of the most powerful lyrics in Christian music. She also writes some of the most beautiful music. This album combines both. The new arrangements of the older hymns add a fresh new feel to the songs. My favorite on the CD, "My Lips Will Praise You," makes me imagine what heaven must be like with the angels singing praise to God. The lyrics are beautiful, but the music as well as the choirs, will bring tears to your eyes. The instrumental, "Perennial," is also beautiful. I highly recommend this project to anyone who wants (or needs) some quiet devotional time with the Lord.

This is the most beautiful collection of songs ever. I especially enjoy "Come Thou Fount" and "Be Thou My Vision." While I always enjoy her original work (she writes most of her songs!) this album has touched me especially. Her music is annointed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Her sweet voice has such wonderful range without being shrill and her music has depth, not the shallow stuff some CCM artists put out today. Twila is definitely THE best female singer in CCM today!
