How can they think their product is good for us and the Earth? They're taking plastic and recycling it into these bags, using a formula which adds even more plastic but which allows the plastic to biodegrade into our earth and water system. Listen up! Plastic polymers, no matter how big or small, are poison for us and our earth. These bags are not an improvement in any sense. Stick to the cornstarch based bags, even if they're not as strong. You might fill them less and use a few more than you're used to, but you'll be doing the earth and our future generations a kindness.

These bags do NOT fully biodegrade. They instead degrade into small plastic particles which then can enter the groundwater. This is worse than the old plastic bags as they were at least contained in landfills. Plastic bags in land fills is not good, but they're not going anywhere. These degrade into the ground water and are then reintroduced, still as plastic, into the food supply and water systems. That is bad. Google the product and you can find out more.

There seems to be a litle confusion. A few people seem to think it is 4 BAGS for the listed price. It is 4 BOXES of bags, each box containg 12 bags.
They may be a bit more expensive, but these bags are strong AND biodegradable. It's a difficult financial time, but it's also a difficult time for our planet, so if your budget allows spending pennies more per bag to help save the planet, Perf Go Green Bags are well worth it!

I think the average consumer, and sometimes the slightly educated person, accepts false advertisement on a product finding themselves duped by unethical business & marketing tactics. I'm here to say that the word 'plastic' and 'biodegradeable' should NEVER been in the same sentence. Plastic will NEVER biodegrade... meaning it does not break down into organic compounds that can then be used by the natural lifecycle of our planet. What plastic does do is PHOTODEGRADE... and all this means is that the bag (or the infamous plastic bottle - my personal nemesis) you see today will eventually break up into small bits the size of a grain of sand. The plastic is STILL there, it still is hydrophobic, it still transports hydrophobic contaminants into our ground water, it still causes havoc in our marine environments... we solve absolutely NOTHING with a plastic/hydrocarbon-based product... especially this one that says it breaks down even FASTER than it should... which at the end of the day may create more problems for us at a much faster rate. Please do NOT fall for this product thinking your doing something good for mother nature!

Don't get me wrong, the design of these bags is great and the price is right. However, I would like to mention that these recycled degradable bags are made in Indonesia and then shipped halfway around the world. Does this really make this a "greener" bag? Indonesia doesn't have the best reputation for strong environmental regulations and labor laws. How can a consumer trust that this bag is made in accordance with the standards provided in the product description?

These work every bit as well as the flex bags I had been using (actually better) and I am doing far more good for the envirnoment! The only thing I need to remember is that there is less "give" room in these so I can't overstuff them as much. This doesn't mean that the bag tears, it means that I can't close the bag if I put too much in. LOL.

For those concerned about the cost, regular price is under 30 CENTS a bag, if you subscribe and save it is less than 25 cents a bag -- still seem terrible? How much do you spend on coffee or soda?

Oh, and our family of 8, yes 8, use about 2 bags a week! We recycle everything we can and compost so we use about 50 cents a week in garbage bags.

It is 4 boxes for $16.00, with each box containing 12 garbage bags. It may be slightly more expensive than the average garbage bag, but well worth it!

In our household, we recycle everything we can. This leaves only food, food wrappings as waste, and diapers, so it seemed quite logical to try a biodegradable bag to allow our largely biodegradable trash to do just that. The dispenser box is quite handy, no more running to the garage to grab a handful of bags for individual trash cans. The bags themselves are somewhat thin, but when buying something that is intended to degrade quickly one cannot expect tarp like durability. The bags take a fair amount of weight, however they do not take well to stretching. There is one wonderful, unintended benefit that we noticed: these bags, when tied, seem to contain the stench from a week of our diaper champ's services. The previous trash bags we used, although they were thicker, allowed the powerful diaper smell to escape throughout the walk to the outdoor trash can.

This is a Great Product. The extra large size of the tall kitchen bag is great. You have no issues with the bag falling back in the can. They stretch around the can. A very strong bag as well. Great idea, the dispensing system allows you to never forget to replace the bag. I signed up for the automatic delivery and get the discounted price. This bag is better than all the other bags on the market, and it is biodegradable. Using this bag has made my family more aware of the little things you can do to save the environment. These are great trash bags thanks to the self-dispensing box and the handles are brilliant. Of course its just a bonus that they are "green" bags and 100% recyclable.
