Great cap rack. Has 12 clips that each hold 3 caps though.,

I really like this cap rack. I have it installed on a door using the hardware that came with it. It works great, and keeps your hats in great condition.
One thing to note is how that hats attach to the rack and the quantity of clips. This is advertised as a 36 hat rack. There are only 12 clips, meaning that 3 hats need to nest in each other on each clip. Each of the clips has two separate attachments for the hats. The bottom one is larger and meant to hold two hats. The top one is smaller and only holds one. I personally only put 2 hats on each of the clips, essentially making this a 24 hat rack for me. The reason I do this is because I want to be able to see my hats, and even doing it this way, the bottom hat is covered by the top one. The hats have to be folded in half with the back of the hat folded towards the brim, much like they have them on shelves in the store. The hat can then be placed in the clips. The rack consists of a thick rope with 12 plastic clips. The plastic clips attach to the rope, and your hats then attach to the clips. The rack comes with hardware to hang the rack over a door, or from the wall. Since it is a rope and flexible, you may need to secure the end of the rope, depending on what you prefer. The end of the rope has a metal loop. I used a 3M hook with sticky tape, then secured the metal loop on the rope through the hook on the bottom.

Good but disappointed,

By viewing the photo, I would expect it is a tough and durable product. I do not know it is actually a string with some clips. If you hang this string on the door, all your caps with the string will swing when you open or close the door. The solution is screw the other end of the string on the door. Hardware is provided. However, I do not want to screw hole on the door!
Another issue, I bought a 36 cap holders but it only came with 12 holders. I finally find out each clip supposes to hold 3 caps. I can see the clip has 2 clippers....so how can it hold 3 caps?? I still can not figure it out. The purpose that I buy this cap rack because I would like to show every single cap, so my husband will see every one when he picks the cap. If he doesn't see that one, he will not use it forever. The idea of one clip holds 3 cap is not a good idea. I thought I pay $20 for 36 caps is a good deal. Now I have to pay extra $40 to buy the extra 24 clips. I feel cheated. Maybe most of the buyers already knew this issue. I would like to write this comment here in case some buyers do not know this trick.

Just the cap sorter/hanger I needed!,
This review is from: Cap Rack 36 System (Misc.)
It's just what I was looking for and in fact, with sufficient versatility that I ended up hanging it on the side of a bookcase where I could conserve my door space for other storage needs. In fact, my 12 year old son installed it and "loaded" it!

Snappy, Easy, and Space-Saving,

I bought this cap rack to remedy a closet floor littered with a collection of my husband's baseball caps. The rope is plenty long, and I hung it from a closet rod. There are 12 plastic molded cap holders that clip onto the rope, each of which holds 3 caps. On each plastic holder there are two clips - the bottom one for holding one cap, and the larger, top one for holding an additional two caps. This goes together quickly and easily and certainly saves some space since you're just using one long strip of vertical space in your closet (maybe the same width as 6 or 7 pairs of pants. Highly recommended.

Concept Is Better Than The Reality,

While I like the concept of this product, there are numerous problems with everyday use. The clips routinely pull off the cord when removing one of the hats that are held below the top one.

I bought this for my brother who has tons of baseball hats...he lives in another state so I haven't seen it at work but he was very very pleased with it! It's great because it's compact, there are different hanging options, and it hold so many hats. Good for organizaion and display.

This is a little bit different from what I thought it would be. When it says it holds 36 hats, they mean that 3 hats get stacked on top of each other and fit in one clip. Other then that, this is a cool hat rack. It actually looks good on my wall.

Looking at the pictures, I thought it would be a simple matter, but it was not. the wire on which the clips were to be hung looks ugly when it dangles free. Also the hooks were loose and did not hold the caps tight enough.

I bought this for my husband who has several caps; now they are hidden out of sight in his office, plus he can find the one he is looking to wear that day. Thus far the caprack has not buckled or bowed with his 16 (and counting) caps.

Simple Form, Genius Function,

It was no small feat when we took the plunge and decided to move in together. Little did I realize that I wasn't just moving in with my boyfriend, but also his massive collection of baseball hats. There seemed to be little we could do to manage the hats in such a way that they would be neatly arranged when not in use, but ready for circulation at a last moment's notice. I spotted this clever contraption on the shelves of Lids, a store specializing in headwear, and tried to find a better deal and reviews online. Buying it from amazon.com with free shipping saved me on taxes but was comparably priced to the store. The device itself was simple to assemble (I managed to do it in secret as he was in the other room when it arrived), easy to mount, and instantly solved our dilemma. I mounted it inside the door of our coat closet and used an included hook to go over the door at the top and a piece of double sided padded tape (also included) to anchor the opposite end of the cord to the door. One of the best things about this piece is that each of the cap-mounts are independently adjustable and can be spaced however you prefer, creating an unique display effect. What's even better, and arguably more important, is that my boyfriend loved it and actually uses it! I rated this product with 4 stars instead of 5 because, although it's clever, useful, and attractive, it is made from a majority of plastic parts. Plastic always turns me off because it isn't usually crafted to stand the test of time and for this I would suggest the price be lower. To follow up on that last point, and despite not having such a need yet, I haven't seen replacement parts available- a small feature I would like to have as an option.
