4.0 out of 5 stars Cascada's creative covers
German group Cascada's second album goes back to what they're really good at - covering popular songs and transforming them into Eurodance hits. Being dance music, many of the tracks have similar driving beats, but this album WILL make you want to go clubbing, or at least jig(gle) around the house a little.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Fun...A Bit Redundant
I have to say I enjoyed this cd to an extent. The songs a very repetative and predictable. Most of the songs start out slow, then the bass comes in, the hard pounding bass, then back to the soft vocals and repeat. However, Cascada's covers of What Hurts The Most, Beacuse The Night, and Just Like A Pill, are really good.

German group Cascada's second album goes back to what they're really good at - covering popular songs and transforming them into Eurodance hits. Being dance music, many of the tracks have similar driving beats, but this album WILL make you want to go clubbing, or at least jig(gle) around the house a little.

The first single is "What Hurts the Most", originally a country song sung by Mark Wills, and the second is the original "What Do You Want From Me?" Other covers include "Because the Night" (Patti Smith), "SK8er Boi" (Avril Lavigne) and "Just Like a Pill" (P!nk). Also look for "Runaway", "Perfect Day" and the ballad (yes, ballad) "Could It Be You?" which showcases the strong vocals of Natalie Horler.

This is the UK version of the album which has a different track list to the US version. The songs "I Will Believe It", "SK8er Boi", "Just Like a Pill" and "Endless Summer" aren't on the US version, which in turn has three tracks that aren't on the UK version. Personally I'd go for the baker's dozen on the UK album.

Their first album Everytime We Touch spawned four singles, and from what I've heard, this one should do even better.

Party on!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Dance, Dance, February 6, 2008

I have always loved Cascada's voice - so beautiful and pure. I do have to say that sometimes it is overpowered by the heavy bass and beats. The songs can be a bit repetitive and predictable. I have to admit that I like this CD better than `Everytime We Touch' - which I was pretty disappointed in. This CD is the perfect dance CD but, I would like to hear her voice showcased more because it is such a great one.

"What Hurts The Most" is, in my opinion, my favorite song on here and if you can get your hands on the Candlelight Mix you will be blown away. There are a few that should not have been covered and are easily skippable: "Sk8er Boy" and "Just Like A Pill". Those 2 songs are too new and already have remixes out for them by the original artists'. "Could It Be You" is a very melodic slower song that grabs your attention and draws you in. Very nice.

All in all, there are a few things lacking here but, it is a CD that adds something to my collection and it will to yours too. A great, fun dance CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this album!, March 25, 2008

I personally think this is better than the first album. There are a lot more vocals in them, and a lot less instrumentals. Although I love both albums, this is the better one. I have both the US and UK versions of this album, so I get to combine them for the full *Perfect Day* experience. Although, if you have to get one, get this one, because not only does it have an extra song, but it has an extra disc! I say, well worth the money, and time waiting for shipping.

If you've enjoyed her previous releases, you'll definetely love this one as well. I love every track in this album. Music is great, but as it was said previosly, 'Miracle' and 'Everytime We Touch' remain there on the top.

On this cd you have I Will Believe It and Endless Summer, these tracks were realesed originally under the name Siria back in 2006 but are now included on Perfect Day.
As a bonus, this edition of Perfect Day included a cd single of WHTM. Check out the Spencer & Hill Radio Remix, it's the best. Also on this single is Cascada's cover of Wham's, Last Christmas.
Overall, I'd say Cascada's first effort, Everytime We Touch, was slightly better but, Perfect Day still is just as fun. As of right now the cd hasn't been released in the states but look for it in the Spring of 2008.

Okay, so Cascada's first CD Everytime We Touch is my favorite CD of all time. I was so eager for this to come out!

When I got it, I listened through the whole CD. I love it. There are many addictive beats, just like EWT. But it's not without it's flaws.

First of all, I personally think that her original songs are so much better than the covers. "Sk8ter Boi" and "Just like a Pill" are very weak tracks. Especially the latter (I think it's her worst song ever). They drag the CD down.

Also I think it's a little short. At just over 40 minutes, it leaves you wanting more.

But, in light of that, all of the other tracks make this CD a must have for any Casacada/dance music fan!

It is a very good album which confirmed Nathalie Horler as singer, damage that the rest of the group (Dj' s Yann and Manuel Reuter) are not more visually present speaking, this Dj' s is recognizable in their unique sounds...
