Oh, Definitely a Perfect Fit (meow),
By
This review is from: A Perfect Fit (Time of Your Life) (Mass Market Paperback)
I can believe that a small woman could have a very large temper - my Irish grandmother weighed 85 pounds all her life but her 3 large sons and husband jumped when she got mad!Brooke Welch is plate-throwing, china-crashing ticked off when she finds out that her baby sister Dee (whom she raised) is pregnant by a man who claims he will not marry her; he only wants to marry for money. Big sister decides that she will go after him and force him to do the decent thing. When you read this book (I insist!) and find out what she used rather than a gun in her pocket to kidnap the wrong guy, you will probably choke laughing. And if you thought she was upset when she found out Dee was pregnant, wait until you get her reaction when the guy she has kidnapped shows rather less fear and respect than he ought to in his predicament. When Brooke looks at this hunk she can see Dee didn't have a chance. He sends shivers and chills down her spine which makes her feel that she is very unloyal to her poor baby sister. There are some wrongs to be addressed by her kidnap victim, some puzzling twists and turns, but most situations in this one are just riotously funny. Very bright writing, another keeper for sure.

I laughed until I cried,

Talk about a case of mistaken identity. Brooke's baby sister is pregnant and Brooke is out for blood..preferably that of the slick talking scum bag who knocked up her baby sister. She plots to kidnap him to make him listen to her and marry her sister. Instead she accidently kidnaps her new boss. Alex has come to town invesigating a claim of embezzlement in his new condom factory. Tossing the two of them together in a search for the thief is like lighting a match in a barn full of hay. The sparks are going to fly. At different times I laughed so hard I literally had tears rolling down my face. This is a must have on my list. Ms. Smythe keep it up. I just ordered Mr Hyde's Assets and I can only hope it's as great as this one.

Ok I admit it I bought this book because of the title and the cover. I mean it is a great title and the cover does make a girl have naughty thoughts! Oh my!Anyway, this book is the first I've read from Sheridan Smythe and it won't be the last. I laughed a lot over this book. It was a very easy read and made my afternoon. Brooke, the heroine, is a normally very stable unimpulsive person, that is until some jerk knocks up her sister and then disappears. Brooke decides to kidnap him and get him to admit to his crime and take responsiblity for his child. Well it sounded like a good plan anyway. The only problem was that Brooke has hijacked the wrong man! Oops! The man turned out to be the new owner of the factory where she is a shift manager. Alex Bradshaw is technically on vacation. His health has suffered as of late so his doctor has ordered a vacation. Well Alex decides to first come down and see his new factory and try and figure out why his condoms are failing. Yes I did say condoms. Its a condom factory. Well as soon as Brooke realizes her mistake Alex inlists her help in uncovering the culprits. Together they proceed with a wacky investigation that leads them not only to the bad guys but to love. Along the way they fall for each other. The tension between the two is hot and when it's finally unleased its explosive. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait to read others from this author. If you can get this book do.

Raging Hormones,

I realize I am in the minority regarding the reviews about this book. But hopefully I'll save someone some money. I read the reviews and bought the book, just goes to show we are living in a very different world. The book was about lust not relationships nor love. I thought the premise and the first few pages were good and that's where it ended. Where the authors could have taken character development and a snappy dialog they just fell back on sex. Why does Brook fall in love with Alex? Why does she think he's such a wonderful person? Is it because he lies to her, blackmails her and uses sex to control her? And the authors say Brook is loyal and so family oriented yet she can't spend one hour in Alex's company ( a man she thinks got her sister pregnant and then dumped her ) without wanting to jump his bod.....that she waits for maybe a day is commendable? Or that she continually feels guilty absolves her of her actions. All I can say if that's your idea of a noble sister well, I'm glad I have brothers. If you took out the smoldering sex scenes or the angst of wanting sex and broke this book into plot and dialog it would be a quarter of it's size. Don't think I'll be giving these authors another go round. I'll save my money for Krentz, Crusie, and Evanovich.

A Perfect Fit,
This review is from: A Perfect Fit (Paperback)
Brooke Welch is at the end of her rope. She has been a surrogate mother to her younger sister since the death of her parents and now her kid sister has gotten pregnant. The man who was with her sister is apparently already engaged though, and she sees him as a careless heartbreaker. Add to this the fact that the factory where she works has changed hands and everyone is concerned for their jobs and she might just do something a little rash.
Brooke sets out to kidnap the father of her sisters' baby but instead manages to kidnap Alex Bradshaw, the new owner of the plant where she works. The interesting thing is that Alex is so drawn to her that he doesn't reveal who he is when she finally gives him a chance. Eventually Brooke will find out who Alex is and he will ask her for help solving a mystery at the plant. Brooke will need to determine what she feels for Alex before she goes too far along with helping him. And will Alex be able to tell her what he is feeling? What an absolute hoot. I love the fact that this writing team not only uses an unconventional kidnap scenario, with the woman being the napper, but I love her weapon of choice. I found the interactions between Brooke and Alex to be some of the funniest characters I have seen in a while. I like how people can tell Brooke's mood by the number of things that have been broken recently. The team has found a successful genre to practice their craft in and have a winner with A Perfect Fit. I look forward to more from these ladies and recommend you get A Perfect Fit for a fun evening read. Tanya Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

I dont know where any bad reviews are coming from. I sped through this page turner laughing like a hienea. The plot is more far fetched then unbelieveable. It could happen. Thats what stories are for, right? Someone elses imagination is us readers entertainment. This book is not deep or very complicated. It is light and funny. Its not all about lust, it is more how men and lust equals love. A man who does not admit to what he really feels, you know the hard headed, cant look deeper then the surface type who run when things start going somewhere. Only he cant run. Cant do it. So, it is interesting to see how she is going to get out of her situation. And what is he going to do, considering what he knows. Dont go in expecting Linda Howard or anything. This is alot lighter, more like knee slapping funny. So its worth it. I enjoyed it and will read more titles under this author. A nice excape for sure.

This was a great light read that was not only humorous but romantic at the same time. Brooke and Alex get off to a great start (mistaken identity) and the two of them will never be the same again. Imagine being attracted to the man you think has gotten your kid sister pregnant but in reality is your boss. Oh yeah you don't know that he is your boss! This was a well plotted story with great characters that you want to read about. Brooke and Alex have great chemistry and the secondary characters are also great additions to the cast. Not a 4* story but still worth putting forth an effort to get a hold of a copy.
