I have been researching healthy eating for quite awhile, but have had a hard time finding something that actually worked for me and was truely all natural. I loved this book and am loving eating like this. Having previously been on the Body for Life regime where I was told to eat tons of protein, I found this way of eating so refreshing and much easier on my body. I feel great and am finally seeing some results. I was also recently diagnosed with Hypothyoidism and by changing my eating habits as described in 'Perfect Health', I am finally starting to feel energetic again. This way of eating is very satisfying and I don't have the sugar cravings anymore...I actually passed up cookies today at a social gathering and didn't think much of it! I highly recommend this book.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this very informative healthy eating lifestyle book. I have slowly implemented changes into my lifestyle and the results have been wonderful. I have lost weight without dieting and my energy levels are at an all time high. I now eat nuts and avocados without feeling guilty and I love drinking fresh orange juice - just small changes that have made a world of difference.

Let me first say that I love the information contained in this book. I am changing my eating habits and feeling healthier and more energetic every day. This book does make a clear case for food combining and explains how to make actual changes to your lifestyle to acheive the positive results. Everyone should make the changes that this book contains.

My issue with this book is that it reads a bit like watching an infomercial. The author is clearly selling her idea as best she can. This led me to doubt her information - I felt a bit like I was trying to choke down her "fad diet" type sales pitch. I went on to read "The China Study" (a book I highly recommend) and some other sources of scientific informaiton that back up the author's sales pitchy claims. Once reading the science behind this book, I was able to just read about how to make changes to my life and implement those changes.

Long story short - although it sounds like a sales pitch, it is a good guide for changing your life for the better, and if you doubt it, check her sources.

I love all the info; I don't care about some health experts who are saying now there's no benefit to food combining. What I'm saying to you who are reading this; YOU FEEL GREAT eating what this lady says to eat.

It takes a few days to get used to it; like anything.. but then, you have so much energy, you'll be housekeeping at 10pm, it is just great to eat and feel like it was just what your body wanted.

Book arrived in very good shape and was shipped on the day I ordered it. This book is about changing your eating habits and lifestyle to a pseudo-vegetarian diet. An added bonus is the simple recipes that are tasty and easy to follow. If followed, you will feel energetic and alert. An added bonus is the weight just melts off.

I appreciate Shearer's approach to incorporating healthy choices into your life. She does not suggest an all-or-nothing approach, rather, she finds ways to make small changes that will "catch" over time. She also is realistic in that she leaves room for all food groups, offering the pros and cons of many of them.

I also receive her "100 Days to Health" newsletter. While she does promote some of her own products (none that I've used), I find the daily tips and recipes to be mostly helpful.

This book is great for anyone to read not just someone who wants to diet and lose weight. It tells the importance of eating right and how all foods affect your body either positively or negatively. It is just fascinating to read and hardly could put the book down. How some foods make you feel good and some foods can make you lethargic for days. I highly recommend this to everyone.
