4.0 out of 5 stars More Depth in Plot than two previous books
The previous two books in this series were similar to Perry Mason but with more humor. This books changes the series, since the tone is considerably more serious and touches upon some issues like racism and the violence created by it.

The story is very well written and the characters are lovable as always. If this change in tone is a trend which will be followed in next...

2.0 out of 5 stars Is this really a book for adults?
I didn't get more than halfway through this book because I was appalled by the writing, which is at a fifth-grade level. It's insulting to present this to a literate adult. The dialogue is hamfisted and trite, as are the characters.

I don't expect much out of a courtroom thriller, but I do expect something more challenging than an elementary school reader...

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Ben Kincaid epic, July 24, 2001
By A Customer
This is my favorite of all of the "Justice" books. You get a strong sense of the depth of the major characters, as well as a chance to explore the "wrong" side of a case Ben has chosen to defend. This book is more dedicated to exploring the grey areas between what looks like two cut-n-dried sides than most of the others. The unusual twist at the end will have you re-reading the book again looking not for clues that you missed, but character reactions and motives.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Justice, April 30, 2010

This review is from: Perfect Justice (Hardcover)
As usual William Bernhardt works his magic in solving the crime. Being from around the area of Tulsa it is always interesting to know what the area is like that he describes. As usual the plot of the story always holds your interest. At the present time I am reading all the Ben Kincaid series and plan to read all the books William Bernhardt has written. So far I have enjoyed 5 of the series. The books are easy to follow, have a lot of suspense, and a good way to loose yourself from everyday stress.

Good story with some twists. I could figure out some of them but not all. Good read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not quite good, August 1, 2005
The subject matter was interesting, the characters marginally so, but the writing style seemed a bit amateurish. Sort of like a smart tenth-grader wrote it. I have to give it a C-.

5.0 out of 5 stars PERFECT JUSTICE IS JUST ABOUT PERFECT, January 23, 2002

This is the fourth book in this series and the fourth one I have read. They all have been good and each one I read I think is better than the last one. Ben has agreed to defend a member of a white supremacy group for the murder of a Vietnamese young man. Did the man commit the crime?? He won't say he did or he didn't. Ben uses all his knowledge and people to try to prove him innocent. The whole crew is here, Ben, Christina McCall, Mike Morelli, Jones and Loving. When someone asked if Jones and Loving had a last or first name, Ben's reply was, No, they came that way. The book will hold your attention from beginning to end. Ben gets beat up and then nearly killed. The ending will really suprise you, at least it did me. The courtroom scenes are great. I think you will really like this book.
