This review is written by a layman of no estate planning or legal experience.

Many types of forms are selectable in this product. Selecting one will kick off a form-filling wizard. There are simple estate planning tools such as "Home and Business Inventory" and "Spreadsheet Maker". The user interface is simple, so are the form wizards. The software is not particularly sophisticated in design or execution. Clearly, the target end-users are everyday folks. The pricing is commensurate.

The help system for such a simple product should, inversely, have some depth and sophistication- it does not. For example, the video help features only a talking head (at low-resolution) in single scenes with no visual examples or graphics. The videos run from approximately 30 seconds to 2-1/2 minutes. The help from the menu bar consists mainly of simple explanations of the different screens (with screenshots). The training courses are similarly cursory. Surprisingly, there is no glossary of terminology.

This product is useful, but be prepared for occasional head-scratching and puzzlement.

It's a great price...but not super user friendly...you have to know what you want to put in the blanks...nothing walks you through it...it is just forms for you to fill out.

I needed to get a will done for my wife and myself, and was attracted to this by the price. It turned out not to be particularly useful. I found it clunky and difficult to use, and the help features are very weak. What's more, this is the only program of many I have installed on my computer, and it caused some minor installation problems, continually prompting me to install additional software, and giving me headaches as I had to exit out of each prompt.

I got Quicken Willmaker for free along with a download of a different Intuit program, and found it much easier, and much more user friendly.

So, all in all, not a terribly good buy, even for the bargain price. My advice would be to keep shopping, and spend a little more to get a better program.

There isn't anything on this program for guardianship and that's the main reason why I'm revising my will. I ended up finding a free program online. What a waste of money!
PS: Look at the other reviews. The 4 out of 5 star rating is because someone meant to give it one star but gave it five accidentally.

I have used this product to begin working on 2 wills and a medical will to determine handling of what to do in a case of brain dead decisions on treatment. SINCE ITS USE HAVE FILED WITH THE STATE WITH NO PROBLEMS, VERY COMPLETE AND INSTRUCTIONS ARE EASY EVEN FOR ME.

Not as easy or as many options as quicken willmaker. Ended up filing it.
