Brad and Jan Lundy have really hit the nail on the head with this book. I have read many self help/spiritual books and this one spoke to me so simply about where it all starts. It starts with my relationship with myself. Through this book, I was actually able to change not only my thinking but my behavior. While visiting a friend who was unhappy under the guise that everything was "going well", I was able to look at her and feel compassion for her position rather than be judgmental about her hiding her true self from me. That is a huge shift for me. I was also able to finally let go of a relationship understanding that what we were both doing was best for our true inner selves. I let go of anger, envy, regret and can now look at my relationships and myself with more compassion. More than how I look at things though, this book empowered to take action on some very important things in my life in a clear, loving and authentic way. It doesn't get much better than that!!

If only everybody could read this book the world would be a better place. Brad and Jan Lundy have certainly touched on something the world needs. We can all get something from this book.

I am an avid reader, and I devour self-help and new age books. I have also spent a good number of years working in libraries and bookstores, so I've grown familiar enough with books to be able to discern quickly whether a book is worth my time or not. I was apprehensive about this book, but it was a gift, and I'd heard good things about it; furthermore, I was intrigued by all it promised, so I decided to give it a shot. However, I was very quickly disappointed by both the content and the writing style. Each chapter is sparse, barely a few pages long, and utterly devoid of any new information; I've read this same information a hundred times in the past, but never this poorly delivered. I quickly grew bored, and had to continually struggle to concentrate. Furthermore, the book makes promises it never follows through on; for example, I was interested to read the chapter purported to provide techniques one can use to move away from the ego. However, just like all the other chapters, it fell short; the 'techniques' were laughable, and over-simplified the processes they were supposed to liberate you from.

Skip this book. You can read a thousand other (better-written) books that will tell you the same things, in better detail, with more practical applications, and in a more interesting and helpful manner. Try reading "I Need Your Love, Is That True" by Byron Katie, or "Heart Centered Marriage" by Sue Patton Thoele, anything by Cheri Huber (especially "Be The Person You Want To Find")...or, really, anything else at all.

This did not have any new information for me but it was nicely written and a good reinforcement of what I already knew.
