Book Description

February 1, 2002

SHE WAS GOIN' TO THE CHAPEL….

…and she was going to get married—to the dashing new minister. At least, that was Julia Evans's plan. Convinced holy matrimony should be based on more than romance, Julia was caught off guard when old-fashioned fireworks erupted where she least expected them— and ignited a spark she couldn't seem to ignore….

Carpenter Zeke Taylor knew Julia fully intended to become the pastor's wife. But the more time he spent with the angelic blue-eyed blonde, the more Zeke suspected the Lord had other plans for her—for both of them. If only Julia would listen to what her heart—and God—were trying to tell her….

More About the Author

Deb Kastner lives and writes in beautiful Colorado. Though two of her three daughters are grown, her nest is apparently never going to be empty; but it's been a real blessing to have her two grandchildren living at the house. Getting writing time in is challenging, but playing pat-a-cake with a baby can't be beat!

Deb writes for Harlequin's Love Inspired line, and is currently working on her eighteenth novel for them. She's thrilled that most of her backlist is now available for the Kindle. She feels especially blessed to be able to include faith as a natural and genuine part of her characters lives.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Perfect Match!, April 2, 2011
This review is from: A Perfect Match (Love Inspired #164) (Mass Market Paperback)
The cover of the book was so perfect for the scene it depicted. I was very amazed. The only thing I saw wrong with the cover was Zeke didn't have a beard...

Okay, now on the story: Though this may not be the BEST Love Inspired I ever read, I had to read the whole thing in one day. It shows the struggles our childhood can bring us. Sometimes I think it was MY childhood struggles that leaves me still searching at the age of 37. I'll probably ALWAYS search, because I don't have any Zeke's around...

And that preacher...WOW! I almost wish there had been another scene with him so Zeke could have defended her honor. I really wanted to see what he would have done if his Julia had been man handled again...RATS!!! Well, that preacher was probably long gone by this point anyhow.

I'm also glad Julie was able to make ammends with her father. That's something I was never able to do. He never really made the effort...

Anyway, another great read!
