Petco and Amazon should pull this product and refuse to sell it. The company's suggestion that you quick your dog in order to obtain a blood sample is not only tantamount to cruelty but it is guaranteed to make sure your dog becomes fearful and potentially aggressive about having their feet and nails handled in the future. It is completely despicable for anyone to suggest this procedure. Do NOT ever quick your dog on purpose. If you want a blood sample, get someone who is properly trained to draw it from the leg with a syringe. That is far less painful and stressful for everyone.

Any company or product that even suggests getting a blood sample from a nail trim must be NUTS! How painful! Shame on you. It is much less painful and invasive to have blood drawn thru the vein by a professional. Even if these tests come back positive you will still need to spend the time and money to get treatment (again) through a professional. These products are a total waste.

Are the instructions serious? Anyone who has accidentally trimmed their dogs nail to short knows that it's very painful for the dog! Also, they can bleed like crazy and become infected if not treated properly. What a crazy idea. It's like cutting the tip of your own finger off to get a blood sample!

Amazon should pull this product. To suggest you cut your dogs nail deep enough into the quick to get blood? PAINFUL ! That is cruel. I would NEVER do that to my dogs. Any responsible dog owner would RUN, NOT WALK away from this product. How any company can suggest you cause pain to your dog to get a blood sample is beyond stupid, it is obviously a company who cares NOTHING about the TRUE WELFARE of pets.

Want a good way to erode your dog's trust in you? Go after him or her with a nail clipper and see how well he or she likes you when you clip a toe nail down to its bleeding stump, in the interest of avoiding a visit to your vet. This is just a terrible idea no matter how you look at it!
