Good on Batteries..one D cell lasts a long time. I have a Golden Lab. it looks very cute. Just sleeping away. The idea here is to watch it an feel soothed, but when you touch the puppy, it feels like a hollow shell.If the kids pet it, its not too bad, only when you either pick it up or really hold it do you notice the shell feel of it. All in all it is a nice conversation piece or toy, or even a relaxation method for people overworked.

My six year old neice wanted a real puppy for Christmas. My brother and his wife having just had their second daughter would not have appreciated a brand new puppy as much as my niece. This was the next best thing and was a hit, not only with my neice, but my sister in law really like it as well.

This puppy comes with its bed, brush and a battery. It looks very real. But because it is black in color, you cannot see it breathe from a far distance (greater than 3 feet). You have to get pretty close to it to notice it breathing. I guess a white or cream color puppy with similar features would be more fun as it would be noticeable from a longer distance.

Other than that, it is a great toy.
