This book is NOT a total TOEFL preparation book nor does it claim to be. Look at the title! It's for the speaking and writing sections only. The book is small in size, but the pages have the same number of words as a "regular" text. The book is filled with sample essays and speaking responses. The size is what it is because it's part of McGraw-Hill's "Perfect Phrases" collection. My students and I have really liked it. There's nothing else on the market quite like it.

this is a good book for practicing your speaking and writing skills for the TOEFL. It has good exercises and key phrases for speaking and writing.

Very helpful book for Your speaking and writing sections, I passed Toefl because of this book, I got 105 and had just one month to practice. I recommend it to everyone who needs to improve their writing and speaking.

The book is not only perfect phrases for the speaking and the writing sections, inside you can find a list of independent writing prompts and another list of interesting websites to improve your speaking skills.

I bought this book; however, I didn't like it so much. This is only one book from a series including accounting, management, and many other subjects. I think this book is very superficial not only for that reason I mentioned but for the subjects it recovers. In fact, this book covers only some patterns for writing and speaking thats all. I don't know how that guy got 100 at the Toefl exam but this book just discuss a bit in speaking and writing. You can find many of this information in any grammar books.

All I want to say about this book is "Don't buy." I doubt they are really "perfect phrases." There are a lot more better books available. This is just waste of time and money. Seriously, don't buy!

This book was a HUGE disappointment.
It is so small, and the book has lots of filler and wasted space, (like vocabulary definitions, which can be found anywhere). There are hardly any answers or test content; the page size is so tiny; it's a pocket-sized book. This book is just a shameful moneygrab, a TERRIBLE product. Save your money and buy better IBT TOEFL books like Delta or Longman guides.
