The watercolor pictures convey Marisa's attachment to the butterfly and her emotional turmoil in the midst of a lively party. Since I am not proficient in Spanish myself I find this printing of each page in both English and Spanish an easy way to learn and to introduce my grandchildren as well to another language.

Excellent reading for Parent and child. The story covers the tradition of hitting a Pinata for a Birthday Party and what happens when the Pinata is too "Perfect" to hit. The best multicultural book I have seen on the market. My children love it! Great way to introduce a different party tradition to your children. Beautiful illustrations!
