5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Pod Filters saved my Senseo
I bought the Senseo for the convenience of making just one cup of decaf when all around me are drinking from a pot of regular. Reviews were good, but the best commercial pods were mediocre at best, especially in decaf. My wife said "Why don't you make your own pods with good coffee?"

I bought the Senseo for the convenience of making just one cup of decaf when all around me are drinking from a pot of regular. Reviews were good, but the best commercial pods were mediocre at best, especially in decaf. My wife said "Why don't you make your own pods with good coffee?"

When I got the Perfect Pod device, I suddenly was able to pack very high quality coffees and pull 10 gram pod shots in the Senseo: 25 second brewing meant very high flavor (especially with premoistening the pod before brewing). The quality of the brew is comparable to a well-engineered espresso shot and preparation of the pods is an assembly-line operation.

The other critical factor in using the Perfect Pod is using the FoodSaver vacuum-packing device with their accessory canisters. I can make a week's supply of pods, write the name or initials of the coffee variety with pencil on the edge of the sealed pod before removing it from the Perfect Pod, and then repeatedly vacuum-pack the pods in the canister after each withdrawal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Pod Filters 3 pack, January 8, 2008

I purchased a Senseo coffee maker, not realizing how expensive it would be to make coffee with the machine and its coffee pods. It was at least 50 cents a cup. The Senseo pods make just 4 ounces of coffee with each pod. It takes TWO pods to make an 8 ounce cup of decent coffee. I purchased the EcoPads which work very well, but require washing and drying between each use and it still required two EcoPads to make an 8 ounce cup. I found the Pod Maker and the Perfect Pod Filters and have been very happy with both. I can make enough pods for a month, use whatever coffee I like, and, best of all, have pods that make an 8 ounce cup of coffee with just one run of the Senseo. Great products and a great solution for the Senseo.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my Bunn, May 2, 2008

I purchased a Bunn Commercial Coffee pod maker- the problem was my husband said he could never find great coffee in the pods. We were able to brew the perfect pod with his favorite coffee and with the bonus of the no mess clean up! At first we had difficulty with the filters, but we called the customer service number on the side of the box and the inventor/owner of the company was the person on the other end of the line. Talk about a helpful guy! One suggestion he had was to place the pod upside down and it worked. Also, my husband found the finer the grind on the coffee, the better the cup!

I've had (and loved) a Senseo for three years, and have used the Perfect Pod for two years. Up until now, it's been terrific for making any kind of pod I wanted. This month (November 2009), I ordered pod filters after being out of them since summer. I noticed immediately that they looked different. The filters I'd always gotten were paper-like and substantial, more like a regular coffee filters. These filters were very thin and had a fiberglass appearance. I attempted to prepare a pod according to manufacturers instructions, just as I always had, by filling the pod and pressing for three seconds. But this new pod was not even close to being sealed. So I pressed again. It seemed sealed, and I put it in my Senseo to make my coffee. After seeing the brew was very weak, I opened the Senseo to find that the pod had come apart and there were coffee grounds in my Senseo and coffee cup. I tried another pod, this time pressing at least 10 seconds. The pod held up through the brew, but fell apart upon removal. I don't know what the manufacturer has done to these pods, but they are not the same as they used to be.

UPDATE: I spoke with customer service, and the rep knew why I was calling before I told her. She said the manufacturer had used a different paper that required higher heat to seal, so they would send a replacement. I asked why they sent out the filters if they knew there was a problem with them. She said because "most" people didn't have problems with them. She said I could use an iron set on high to seal the defective filters (!?!).

5.0 out of 5 stars love these, January 18, 2008

Purchased these with the pod maker for my Senseo and love them! Thought I'd create my own filters, but these are neatly crimped and cut to fit, so found it worth the purchase. It's especially nice for creating tasty decaf pods.

I've had the Perfect Pod maker and Keurig pod adapter for awhile now and have really liked the convenience of making my own pods. The k-cups are a great convenience and taste great but are so expensive! So I love the option of being able to make my own pods. The process of making these is so simple, put the filter in the pod maker, fill it with desired amount, fold the paper top over it and close the lid for about ten seconds and you have a perfect little pod!

My last order of Perfect Pod Filters arrived in basically a plastic bag with no padding. The three containers were kind of crushed. I was not too happy because the shipping for these filters is kind of expensive for what you are getting.

On the packing slip was an e-mail address with a request to contact them before leaving feedback so I did. I expressed my disappointment in the poorly packaged product and the condition it arrived in. I immediately got a respose with a promise to resend me the pods with no additional cost (and they did not request for me to send back the damaged ones either). The new pods arrived very quickly, packed in a box this time with packaging material to protect them.

So my only gripe with these are the fact that the shipping price is too expensive for such a light weight product. I wish Amazon would carry these directly so I could opt for the "free shipping" option.

These POD filters are fine but a little more attention to quality would be nice. When placing these filters in the POD maker the edges are a little narrow and sometimes the POD does not seal well. Making the edges just a tad wider would easily solve this problem.....too bad there aren't more manufactures of this product....

I've been using these with my Perfect Pod and a Hamilton Beach pod coffee maker. They're very easy to use. I prefer them to the permanent filter basket because there's no mess to clean up after each cup of coffee. Just make sure you use a fairly course grind of coffee. If your grind is too fine it will plug up the filter and cause an overflow.

5.0 out of 5 stars These are Perfect!, January 27, 2010
This review is from: Perfect Pod Filters 2 Pack - 100 Total Filters
These are the answer to our prayers. We have a Keurig but don't like any of their coffees. We tried to brew our Starbucks Sumatra using the K-cups and filters. What a mess! I was ready to give the Keurig to Goodwill. Then I saw these filters on Amazon and figured it couldn't hurt to try them. The fiters are perfect if inserted into the filter and then the K-cup. We will be ordering plenty more. Thank you!

5.0 out of 5 stars loving my Senseo more than ever, October 24, 2009
This review is from: Perfect Pod Filters 2 Pack - 100 Total Filters
I started having trouble finding my favorite Senseo pod, Sumatra locally. I did not want to spend even more money with shipping online. I couldn't find another pod strong enough to make an 8oz mug with one pod so I thought I would get my own beans, grind them and make my own pods. The first try was ecopad. Horrible - way too messy to empty and an awful awful tasting result. Then I got the Melitta pods with flaps. Not bad but could only get enough coffee in them for tiny cup. Then I bought the perfect pod sealer on an auction site and was so pleased I immediately looked around for more pods to buy.

I hope they don't stop making these. I will have to resort to using tea bag material and a heat sealer if they do. You can fit enough coffee in them for a mug. I haven't had any disasters. Yes, more expensive than any other options other than the Senseo pods which are most expensive. But worth it. I only drink one cup (BIG cup) of coffee a day and it has to be a GOOD cup. This does.

Hoping my pod maker holds up and the filters are available for a long long time.
