This book is amazing. The recipes rock, the photos are gorgeous, just an all around comprehensive popsicle recipe book. I went and checked it out at the bookstore before purchasing it through Amazon. So I knew I wanted it and I knew the recipes in it looked terrific! I've made the Watermelon Pops, the Chocolate Pops, the Pistachio Saffron Pops...the list goes on & on :) They were ALL terrific.

The recipes are all simple & have easy to follow directions. They are creative without being so ridiculous that you're having to order ingredients from all around the world. The ingredients called for are all-natural and most involve fresh fruit. The author includes many tips and even sometimes alternatives to ingredients, which I love because I'm forever substituting a recipe with what I "have on hand" rather than what the recipe "calls for"! There are 3 main sections in the book: 1st has recipes that are mainly fruit based, 2nd section has creamy dairy-based pops and finally the last section has creative multi-layered pops, swirled pudding pops & even more 'adult' flavored pops, some calling for a little liquor in the recipes Mmmmm.....

This book is also great too because it gives you an idea of what works in the frozen pop world. What ratio of sweetener to use to ensure the pops stay slightly creamy and do not freeze into ice cube consistancy. What amound liquid to use versus amount of fruit etc. So you can take some of these recipes and use them as a base to tweak it and create your own new flavors, or flavor combinations!

The book gives us about 50 recipe for pops. Most of the ingredients are available widely. Instruction easy to follow and the pops are easy to make. If you have some kids at home, make them some pops during the Summer time, they will definitely like it. Don't forget to get them involved. It's fun.

I contacted the author via the email and got a reply from her. That's nice since she's willing to give additional support after the book was published. In fact, I was able to send a picture attachment to have her take a look just to make sure that I got everything correctly from the beginning.

The store we got my Zoku pop maker at had this book for recipes, so I figured I'd give it a try. I am thrilled with my purchase. This book has a great variety of pops, the sections are divided up into: Fruity pops, creamy pops, fancy pops and grown up pops. Each section has mouth watering pictures and easy instructions. The ingredients are all pretty standard, with a few oddballs here and there. I tend to substitute frequently if something isn't fresh at my local store.

For my first batch I went right for a fancy pop and made Raspberry-Vanilla Parfait Pops. Oh my goodness... they were heavenly! I made a few batches of those and they were a hit with my family. The cherry pops were also great and simple. The Triple-Layered Rocket pops make for a great looking pop with my favorite fruits (blueberries and raspberries). I haven't tried any of the Grown-Up pops yet, but have every intention of making Pina Colada pops over the summer.

I'm really impressed with this book. My daughter and I have fun making these. I have a Zoku Pop Maker which makes it so I can have a few batches done within 20 minutes. I also recommend the Zoku blog for other fun recipes They update it for some cute holiday and seasonal pops [...] I have already bought this book for a friend of mine for the summer to give her some ideas for healthy summer treats!

I bought the pop molds shown on the front of the book. I love them! There are some very interesting ideas for pops inside the book. I like the fruit ones the best. I made up my own with fresh peaches and an orange. It fills up all six pop molds if you use 3-4 good size peaches and one orange. But I got the idea from this book!

We bought some pop molds and this book for a summer lesson for the kids: following instructions, basic math and measures, creativity and nutritious yum to share! Some of the ingredients take a special trip to the store, but if you're like me, you can use the guidelines in the book to improvise with what you find in the pantry.

I was excited to try out the recipes in this book. It's beautifully photographed and laid out, which makes it very enjoyable to flip through. The Dulce de Leche pops really appealed to me and my daughter, so we decided to make those first. Unfortunately, although the proportions for the recipe were fine, the time was really off. You start out with 4 cups of milk, and it's supposed to reduce to 2 cups, over low heat (it's never supposed to hit a rolling boil). The book tells you to allow 15-25 minutes for this, but it's actually more like an hour (which is consistent with other dulce de leche recipes you'll find on the internet, including Alton Brown). So, once we'd gotten it to reduce to two cups, we added 2/3 cup half and half, per the recipe, and put them in the freezer for 12+ hours. Unfortunately, when we tried to pull the pops out of the mold (after running hot water over the mold, of course), the sticks came out without the popsicle, because the popsicle was too soft. I think this was probably because there was too much sugar for it to freeze up hard enough, which is really unfortunate. This recipe clearly could have been tested more thoroughly before publication, and that makes me wary of trying the others.
