The book is a wonderful example for keeping an open mind in promoting creativity and self- expression. Often, teachers rely on dittos or worksheets, failing to identify children's unique abilities to view things through various lenses: What looks like an X to you, may seems totally different to me. And it is O.K. More than just an enjoyable book (verbal story as well as visual one) for children, it is a must for educators, reminding them to consider numerous options for their practices.

I have enjoyed this book as an elementary teacher for art projects and the creative process. Read it , use it and let your immagination roam.

My mother recently bought this book for our 5 yo and 3 yo. The 5 yo memorized the looping lyric text after two days. She can still recite it even when we have not read the book for a few weeks. Our 3 yo can not get enough of it. Sit down and we need to read it 5-10-15 times. It's a lovely book, an excellent bedtime story.
