This was a re-read for me. Originally read 11/2010, but I wanted to read this again before reading That Perfect Moment (Kimani Romance). This book was just so good. Heavily romantic, and just so much mental connection between Loren & Rob. I love how rob kept telling Loren how beautiful she was, and wanting her to trust him after going through such a traumatic experience. The way the spoke to each other was really like poetry at time, and just gave me really good feelings while reading this book. I'm looking forward to reading Zach's story.

I loved, loved, loved this books!! The Hood men are so strong and sexy. I read Perfect Solitaire first and I thought it was really good, but this book is my favorite.
Loren was first introduced in Perfect Solitaire as Zoe's reclusive best friend, in this book we find out why. She was brutally abused and almost killed by her sadistic jealous boyfriend. She has lived 2 years and 5 months paralyzed by the fear that her psychopathic boyfriend will catch her and finish what he started. Thanks to fate Rob Hood is on the scene. He's strong, fearless and the head of Hood Investigations. He's recovering from knee replacement surgery and he is also suffering from his own demons. His wife was brutally raped and murdered. He won't rest until every possible stone is uncovered to find the monster responsible for his wife's death. To make matters worst Loren bear a remarkable resemblance to his decease wife. Together they are able to help each other put the pieces of their life back together. This fast-paced page turner will have you laughing out loud. I simply loved the Biddies and Hoods do more than get the bad guys, they make them pay dearly. I can't wait to read more about this exciting and intriguing family. They are quickly becoming my favorite characters.

The Perfect Seduction by Carmen Green
Carmen Green's The Perfect Seduction, the second book in the Hood Family Series doesn't disappoint in this poignant story of survival, fear, determination and rebuilding. Loren Smith ,first introduced in the aforementioned Perfect Solitaire book, get's the featured femme fatale here. Being a character driven story, it centers around the tragic trepidations of Loren, a woman of exotic beauty and a highly sought after model. Her career as a Super Model comes to a disastrous turn by the manipulation of a jealous, spoiled, and rich boyfriend. The story starts out slow but speeds up when she is brutally attacked precipitating an abrupt disappearance which spawned a brand new identity. Does a new lease on life works for Loren? Will she regain lost self-esteem and confidence to bounce back? These questions are answered with deft strokes of the pen in a credible job of writing Loren`s character in a way that doesn't take away from the rest of the players in this tale. It allows Robinson Hood, a private investigator recovering from surgery and staying at twin brother Ben's home, to become a major influence. Their meeting and involvement is fraught with tension, agitation, fear and is as tumultuous until Rob breaks through those barriers that Loren has established and lives by. Rob successfully convinces Loren that they can co-exist without interfering with each other as there was plenty of room. Rob working faithfully to solve the murder of his wife, finds it hard to resist a woman who reminds him of her, comes to a conclusion that has a bearing on the story. After spending volatile, aggravated and eventually avoiding time in the household with her, Rob remembered why she no longer models and decided to help her as much as he desired her. This is a good story that involves a lot a caring, sharing and making things right. It takes us on the journey with two people where one fights to survive and the other fights for her to regain the propensity of fame and fortune in her life. Can they both get what they want and each other to boot? Read this fantastic story for yourself and see! The Romer Review (c) 2000-2010, All Rights Reserved Reviewed by Rhea Alexis M. Supermodel, Loren Smith was brutally cut and stabbed by her sadistic boyfriend. It left her body and her mind scarred, and reduced her to living as a recluse for the last two years. Her new career as a pastry chef is keeping her sane, but she still has nightmares of being attacked. So, she panics when she awakens to a fire in her home and an awareness that someone is in her bedroom. Thankfully, they are members of the fire department trying to rescue her.
Her best friend offers her the use of her home, which is also being used by Robinson Hood, the brother of her friend's fiancé. Rob is recuperating from surgery and dealing with the brutal rape and murder of his wife. Their meeting is the proverbial 'oil and water', but Rob is captivated because Loren reminds him of his wife. Rob, who is part owner of Hood Investigations, is still searching for his wife's killer, but he convinces a still frightened Loren to let him help her put her 'ex' behind bars. Soon they are sharing more than a house and a business arrangement. Rob earns her trust and gives her back the self-esteem she'd lost. And, in his efforts to pull Loren back to the world, he replaces his own loneliness and makes his heart want to live again. PERFECT SEDUCTION picks up with the strong Hood family introduced in Perfect Solitaire, the first book of this series. Ms Green gives us a penetrating look at how we let others interrupt our lives, an enjoyable ride with a group of hilariously active seniors, and a lesson on how trust is key when conquering demons. The Hood family will grow on readers as they enjoy this sensual adventure. Reviewed by aNN of The RAWSISTAZ(tm) Reviewers

I loved the story between Rob and Loren it was a great story that shows how the physical and emotional scars of domestic violence can change a person's life and there self- esteem this story showed you a person who was able to move past that and find love again. The issue of domestic violence I think was handled very well by Carmen green and it didn't take away from the romance of the story I would definitely recommend this book.

I truly struggled to finish this book...and several times I was tempted to just chuck it...and even though I feel sorry for Loren and everything her ex and his father put her through...Loren is quite ANNOYING and EXTREMELY difficult to like...but Rob Hood is quite an AMAZING man...and IMHO he deserves better!

I keep reading the SAME story line - beautiful people having an issue: they get together and fall in love. Lakota and Rob are beautiful, rich people - put them together and they will fall in love. Lakota is scared by a former lover who attacks her with a knife - not her model beautiful face but her torso - something you can live with. The story could have been so much more if the ex boyfriend had been given more in the story and if Rob did not have a solution all neatly wrapped up - KELOIDS were not discussed in this story but none the less described totally without naming the scars. The story could have been so much more in the avenue of stalking/domestic violence - but Ms. Green was too caught up with the beautiful people. Readers deserve so much more - this couple had great passion but the story was too neat - I think I am done reading Kimani Romances.
