This is the 2nd digital coin jar I have purchased. I originally bought the E&B one for my husband as a birthday gift, and after just over a month of use it stopped working. He was super disappointed because he really enjoyed watching his savings grow, so I decided to get him another one. I assumed that I could trust a Sharper Image product, so I bought this one despite never having been reviewed.

First off, it only displays your coin count as you add money. We liked the other one because you could always look and see how much you've saved so far.

Second, it registered a dime as a penny.

Third, the add and subtract buttons do not work.

I'm returning this product on Monday.

After a while, it starts becoming extremely inaccurate. Do not buy. Dish out a little bit more for a better quality one.

It's better then any other one out there if your looking for a coin counter this is the one To buy

The jar is easy to put together, just place the lid on and you are ready to go. Batteries are included and goes into sleep mode when not being used to conserve batteries. Great gift!
