I'm a big fan of Dodgers (GO DODGERS!!!!), so when I saw this calendar at a local bookstore, I immediately picked it up and looked at the back to see who was on it.

Juan Uribe adorned January. That was a big warning sign right there.

Then there's James Loney in the calendar. Yes, the same James Loney who was traded to Red Sox in AUGUST of 2012. Ok, so Amazon says this calendar was released in September, so maybe the trade happened too late to be reflected by this calendar. Ok, fine.

Then there's Juan Rivera. Or at least it shows the *picture* of Juan Rivera. It lists the *info* of Juan Rivera (except the birthplace listed is actually of Juan Uribe). But the name says Mat Gamel. Who? Yeah, I didn't know either. I looked him up, and he's a backup first baseman for Milwaukee Brewers, and he played in a grand total of 106 games over the course of four seasons and a change. How Juan Rivera's name got replaced with Mat Gamel's, I'll never know. (I'll forgive the calendar makers for the fact that Rivera no longer plays for the Dodgers, since that development took place in October)

Anyway, I put the calendar back on the shelf and walked away. While I can understand some inevitable roster errors, I feel that Dodger fans deserve better.

Not as expected. Description wrong, Dodgers' game schedule NOT included. Several players on calendar not on the team. Calendar must have been printed early in 2012.

It's a calendar. How can anyone be that excited and rate a wall calendar as "5 stars?" However, as calendars go, it's one of my favorites. I never get tired of the Dodger blue. It's glossy, the squares are big enough to write in, etc etc. The only problem is, it's too much like the 2012 version. I did a double-take when I opened it. But hey! It's the Dodgers! Anything Dodger blue is fine with me!
