Ed Mann doesn't make very many albums so if you are a fan of progressive jazz/rock music grab a copy of this cd . This title along with Ed's other excellent CMP release Get Up, have been out of print for a while now. According to Ed's website, it looks like they'll be re-issued soon so this is good news! Ed's vibraphone and marimba technique is nothing short of phenomenal! Best of all, he doesn't hog the limelight so all of the other great musicians are prominently featured as well. Some of these people include the Fowler brothers on brass, drummer Chad Wackerman, guitarist Mike Hofman, and Doug Lunn on bass. Ed's solo on Working For Change is worth the price of admission. A few tracks including this one and "Why" feature straightforward philosophical lyrics(Karma is for real, so be nice to everyone) sung by Vida Vierra. The sessions were well recorded with great sounding drums so this cd along with Get Up come highly recommended!
