Editorial Reviews

Sandra Collins is, without question, one of the most recognizable and well loved DJ’s in the business. With her incessant nationwide touring, massive press coverage, top selling mix CDs, and rock star persona, Sandra has solidified her place as the top female DJ in the world. Her debut mix album for Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto Records was her most acclaimed release to date, about which All Music Guide gushed, "It’s been a while since any mix-CD sounded so purposeful, exciting, and vivid." On Perfecto Presents Part 2, Sandra puts forth an upfront mix of electo and vocal laced progressive house and trance that will no doubt continue the excellent pattern established on her debut outing.

After seeing Sandra Collins spinning live in Orlando in front of Oakenfold....and seeing her put on a better show than Oakenfold....I had to buy her latest CD as I was not familiar with her at all. After listening to this 2-CD set many times now I can tell you I don't care for CD1 at all but CD2 is brilliant. The first time it sounded like a bunch of unknown songs (which it is) but by the third time through I realized how well they flowed together to make a mostly trance statement. I'd recommend purchase for that reason if you like Oakenfold, Tiesto, Corsten and others who produce techno you can dance to.

The new mix by Sandra Collins is flawless. Each song is seemlessly and expertly mixed into one another. Though, the album blends a broader mix of progressive and electronica with Sandra's known sound of deep, dreamy trance. Beautiful soundscapes and trippy basslines is the reason why this album stands out, making it one of the best mixes of the year.

Once again Sandra Does it again. Sandra has her own unique style which I love. Progressive House with odd vocals and unordinary tracks, Sandra follows no one. Her opener in CD one is so awesome. All tracks perfectly mixed in key. Her album seems to characterize her personality which would tell me that she is artistic and unique. Completely different in her track selections....Enchanting, hypnotic, fluid and groovy. She looks for tracks that are, well....different and puts them together almost like a story book.

Apart from her awesome track selection and mixing the first cd is a bit more ecclectic and funky and her second cd contains more knowable tracks by Gabriel & Dresden etc. Total Masterpiece. PS- if you like this album check out her last one Perfecto Presents Sandra Collins which is also very good.

This has to be one of the finest examples of the DJ craft at it's best. Ms. Collins has managed to once again show everyone the way it should be done. Her sensitivity to rhythm, timing and texture transcends the played out 4/4 world of uninspired DJs more consumed with self image than their music, making this set a must have for anyone who has a pulse. She has always and continues to show an industry and genre dominated by boys-and-their-toys what it means to spin. I cannot recommend this album more... (seriously, Amazon only goes to 5 stars).

This album is awesome. Great bass lines and great techno beats. The music definitely takes you on a little journey. Reminds me of the likes of Sander K. If you like his funky style, I say pick this one up. A lot of heavy techno riffs show the confidence of Sandra Collins as a disc jockey. Epic. The second disc also has Eleven by Gabriel and Dresden. There are three Gabriel and Dresden tracks from the newer Gabriel and Dresden, see my review for that album as well.

The story is funny, i bough this cd to my Gf who loves Sandra's music, after i heard it i feel in love with this, until i could bought it for me.
Sandra kept much of her old music style and attached some more House-Progressive stuff more than P-Trance which surely amazed me when i listened this.
I still listen both discs and love them, they have "i dont know what" that makes you want to listen them all the time.
ONE+ONE & Sandra Collins Part 2 have this curious "addictive" music and they surely are worth it.
I get wondered what makes people to rate this item as 1 star?
That only shows me that their 5 stars rating can only be accepted for mediocre music style but oh well.
Who cares, just give a a listen if you enjoy club sounds.
This one surely makes the big job and heck pleased to see at least a woman Dj who rules.
Bravo Sandra.
Regards

It's suprising to find that each CD from Sandra Collins gets better as you continue to listen to them. Her first (Transporting) is very good, but I don't find myself listening to it very often. However her second (Cream) initaly didn't strike me as as good. But after repeated plays, I found that I liked it more than her first. The two Perfecto CD's are the same. While striking all the right notes; it's only after multiple plays do I find myself really enjoying the arangments of the music on the CD. This CD is by far her best; while not containing a break-out song (and even including 'the knife').
