In the English village of Middleton, the rector's daughter Sophy keeps a shameful secret—she's a novelist. Kate Allan writes historical fiction under her own name as well as part of the Jennifer Lindsay writing partnership. She lives in the Bedfordshire countryside, England, close to the Chiltern Hills. Her debut novel, Fateful Deception, was shortlisted for the RNA New Writers Award.
