Worst piece of junk ever!,

This review is from: High Performance Silver Black Aluminim USB Cooling Chill Pad with 3 Built-in Fans with 4-port USB 2.0 Hub for Acer Eee PC Netbook Notebook (Electronics)
I purchased this unit with high hopes. I'm a gamer, and having the additional USB ports on a cooler was a real necessity. It's plastic, which makes it light weight. Unfortunately after connecting the power cabele to my 2.0 USB port, two of the three fans don't spin up, unless I shake the unit violently. At $14.99 it may sound like a bargain, but it's not. Even with all three fans spinning, it hardly pushes any air at all, and my machine still got too hot.
The shipping cost wasn't even worth sending the unit back. It went straight in the trash. Save yourself the headache and get a better unit. You get what you pay for.

I bought this cooling pad about 2 weeks ago and it's literally the biggest waste of money I think I've ever spent. It makes horrible noises when I turn it on and sometimes not all the fans spin. It's a piece of crap and I'm mad I spent my money on it. Do NOT buy it!

This is the worst cooling fan I have ever bought, it makes all sorts of noise, it doesn't have any air coming out of it, it sounds like the fans are about to give out in less than 2 months. I thought that since I had an acer computer it only made sense to buy the acer cooling pad. The only thing I did like about this was the 4 port usb hub, it came in handy when working with downloads from phones or other equipment. Spend a bit more money on something that will last longer than 2 months.

If this product is for an Asus Eee PC specifically, it's for the larger models as it's really too big for a 9" netbook. It measures about 12.5" x 10" and about an inch tall. There is also some question about whether or not the USB ports are really 2.0 as my netbook keeps telling me that devices will do better plugged into a USB 2.0 port.
Pros: fans are relatively quiet, inexpensive and having an on/off switch is convenient. Cons: too big for the Asus Eee PC 900, looks cheaply made, is it really usb 2.0? Would be nice to have some sort of way to prop the netbook up for easier keying and better air circulation. It comes with an external power socket, but no external power transformer/cords or apparently any way to get them. Bottom line - works as advertised, but I have concerns.
