5.0 out of 5 stars TAYLOR ROCKS THE HOUSE
I will keep this short and sweet. TAYLOR DAYNE has the best voice in the business. Her live recording sounds just like her records which means very little has been done to "fix" her voice in the studio. Unlike all the wanna-be's out there who can't sing or hold a note (Britney, Madonna, etc), Taylor Dayne is the real deal. Taylor Dayne is a tremendous talent in...

3.0 out of 5 stars Live CD Fails To Capture Dayne's Best
Taylor Dayne's first live effort finds one of pop's greatest voices sounding strangely muffled, in large part due to the poor
sound quality and production of the album itself and less with the singer herself. The album's sound manages to mute much of Dayne's finest songs, with her career benchmark 'I'll Be Your Shelter' coming off as particularly dull. The ballads...

Unlike all the wanna-be's out there who can't sing or hold a note (Britney, Madonna, etc), Taylor Dayne is the real deal. Taylor Dayne is a tremendous talent in the industry who remains "untapped." Buy every Taylor Dayne CD out there-especially NAKED WITHOUT YOU, which is a phenomenal work. It's too bad women like Taylor Dayne and Cyndi Lauper who have the best voices in the biz are relegated to 80s shows and nostalgia. Support them both and let's keep the emphasis on singers who can sing.

The ballads here come off far better, particularly the underrated 'Send Me A Lover'. She also breezes through several non-album tracks, which wouldn't be so bad if there were at least a couple of tracks from her first-rate NAKED WITHOUT YOU album represented. As it stands, average Dayne is better than most singers' best, but it still falls short.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good live greatest hits, January 22, 2003

While there are two tracks on this CD that are not available on any of Taylor's other records, this makes a good greatest hits album from her first 3 albums. She's a great live performer, but a lot of the energy of her shows seems to be lost. Don't get me wrong, she's great on it, hence I gave it a 5. However, most of the time I forget I'm listening to a live recording.

Once track does stand out for me, however. The last track, Love Will Lead You Back, has a great sound, very soulful, and has a great extended ending that shows Taylor feels what she sings.

An awesome collection of live hits by the diva herself. Taylor Dayne sounds awesome live. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the sound, but Taylor more than makes up for it. Nice renditions of Can't Enough of Your Love and I'll be your Shelter. Taylor Dayne rocks as usual!
