Most Underrated Release of 2009, January 20, 2010

This is my first review and I couldn't think of a better record to review than this. In fact, I was just here to pre-order their latest, Magic Chairs, and saw that no one has reviewed this one. How is that possible?!
Simply put, this record is dense and cinematic, and huge in scope and scale. To put it bluntly, it's utterly breathtaking. The companion DVD is well worth the purchase alone for the behind the scenes (making of) Performing Parades. Efterklang IMO is the most underrated band in the world. They are consistently releasing album after album of pure bliss. What they did with Parades (Which is one of my favorite albums of all time) is give it a face-lift with the help of a full Chamber Orchestra. Efterklang is at its best live and this set gives the viewer/listener a glimpse of the genius, emotion, and power of their live act. See them live and you'll never forget it.
This album should be on every best of list in 2009, but somehow it flew way under the radar. Do yourself a favor and get it. Like now.
