Superb tips from a world-class music educator.,

This review is from: Performing Twentieth-Century Music: A Handbook for Conductors and Instrumentalists (Paperback)
I originally came across this book in the New York Public Library stacks, and just couldn't bring myself to return it until I found my own copy on Amazon. If you're struggling to notate and perform fantastically complicated rhythms, this is the best tutorial in print. The author provides absolutely essential tips on rewriting composite rhythms, on metric modulation, and on tough conducting issues. Classics of the repertoire are used as examples throughout.
