5.0 out of 5 stars The surprize is in the title., July 30, 2000
By Gamady Lynn (Rosh Haayin Israel) - See all my reviews
Anyone familiar with Pergolesi's works will enjoy this light entertaining composition. I fell in love wih it the first time I heard it and managed to get a recording about twelve years ago which I have listened to over and over. When I eventually got hold of the translation, I was even more enamoured of the work. It is exactly what the title says, a servant becomes mistress of a mansion by winning the patron's heart. I highly recommend it.
