5.0 out of 5 stars Getting Better All the Time.
Everything I loved about the Perhapanauts from "First Blood" can be found in "Second Chances," but better. Perhaps it is because I now know the characters that the quieter, inter-personal moments between them, which were great in the first volume, mean more to me, perhaps it is because now that the characters and their world have been established, that there is more room...

3.0 out of 5 stars Meh!
This second volume continues the Hellboy-knockoff vibe of the Perhapanauts brand. No amazing new developments or twists or sparks of imagination emerge here... I wish I would've reread my dogeared Hellboy trades instead of shelling out the dough. :(

Everything I loved about the Perhapanauts from "First Blood" can be found in "Second Chances," but better. Perhaps it is because I now know the characters that the quieter, inter-personal moments between them, which were great in the first volume, mean more to me, perhaps it is because now that the characters and their world have been established, that there is more room for Todd and Craig to really let loose with the action sequences, though the action sequences in "First Blood" certainly delivered the goods, perhaps it is just Todd and Craig hitting their stride, though nothing about "First Blood" made me think I was not holding their best work in my hands. Whatever it is, "Second Chances" was better and from what I have read so far of "Triangle," the first story arc of the ongoing "Perhapanauts" series published through Image Comics, that one will be better still.

5.0 out of 5 stars Some of the most fun you'll have at the comics store this year!, January 6, 2008

Todd and Craig have a great property here, and it's exciting to hear that they're moving to a bigger stage this year at Image Comics. These Dark Horse miniseries, though, have been immensely enjoyable, and the second is where things really start to shine. Picking up where the first one left off (so closely that it may be impossible to read and understand the first portion of this book without having read the other one first), some team members are in combat, some are in the hospital and some are, apparently, time-tossed. A fast-paced, action-and-humor-filled romp with great characters, a great concept, a few clever twists and guest appearances by virtually the entire cast of the hit Fox comedy "Scrubs,"
