The dimensions listed are misleading. The 1.1 inches 'height' could only possibly be referring to a measurement taken when the locket is opened up. It is difficult to cut pictures and place them into such small, odd shaped spaces. And the half with the small peridot embedded is not smooth on the inside which complicates placement further.A suggestion to make it a little easier would be to include a pattern the correct shape and size to cut a picture. If I had time, I would return it and continue shopping for something truly 1.1 inches in size.

The locket is small but pretty. The inside of the locket is not conducive to putting a photograph inside - somewhat awkward. It would have been nice to have a flat surface on each side with a way to slip a photo under a clear shield.
